My bloggie bestie Cathy Weber from The Empty Nest Crafter just made it on to another design team - that lucky devil! Cathy is the first person I met on line and has been my best friend ever since. We have lots in common, including our passion for crafting. I am so happy and proud of her. She does beautiful work and absolutely deserves to shine at The Card Concept 2! And lucky me! I get a new place to play!
I'm new to The Card Concept but of course, I'm going to support my friend, that's what crafty friends do right? The idea behind the challenge is really interesting. There are several different "styles" they have defined. Like Clean and Simple, Shabby Chic, Freestyle Collage, Classy and Elegant - you get the picture. You are to be inspired by the photo, and make something in your style.
Maybe it's just me - I'm having a hard time defining my style. I'd love to hear what category you think I fit in. I suspect this one is more Clean and Layered, but I'm going to leave that up to you. For this challenge we're supposed to add some texture as well so I added some embossing.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great day! And if you get a chance, stop over at The Card Concept and give Cathy a big Congratulations - I know she'd love to hear from you!

Jeanne, you really are a master at using color! Love the patterns and color here. Funny thing is, I have that "For the Record" paper and would never have thought to use it in such a bold way as you have. I love this! I am thinking it could fit into the classy and elegant category as well. ;) Thanks so much for joining us at The Card Concept.
What a great take on the inspiration photo! You spied the flowers on the porch .....
Gorgeous stamped flowers and paper......
I am so happy for Cathy ...so well deserved !
You just made me cry...thank you so much for saying such really nice things about me...right back at you my friend! As for your bright and cheery card...I am guessing Clean and Layered too, only because there is no trademark bow on it, but it does have your beautiful flowers! Love the embossing for your texture and the way you dangled your sentiment from twine on the cute tag. I am so lucky to have such a great and supportive friend!
Beautiful Jeanne, I love your card. The dp, lvoely embossing and my fav CB stamp. Also for enabling because I needed to know what ink you used--Memento Luxe Love Letter in the cart thank you. Thank you so much for joining up at the Card Concept!
Love this, Jeanne--it's gorgeous! The embossing pattern, the beautiful paper and your die cut flowers all look like they were made for each other. Love this inspiration of the inspiration photo!
