I'm going to keep this one short and sweet because I'm just jugglling too many things today. I'm still waiting for the candy to arrive for the Boy Scout Fannie May sale - now they're telling me tomorrow. I made this one for the Cheery Lynn Blog Challenge. This week's theme is red and white. What a great way to showcase the gorgeous details of these intricate dies!
I used the negative space of the die cut as the background for this card. I embossed it to give it lots of texture. I inserted the cut Japanese Garden Lace Oval Frame, and placed my bright rose bloom on pop dots in the center. For the lacy bottom I adhered a strip of red stain ribbon and then placed the lacy die cut on top of it. I thought about adding a bow but with all the pretty details nothing else is really needed.
If you'd like ot play along with the Cheery Lynn blog challenge you can get all the details here: http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.com/search/label/challenge They also give you a preview list of upcoming challenges to give you some extra time to think up a great project. This is simply gorgeous. How clever to emboss the outside piece of the die cut and use it on the card. The design really pops with the red ribbon below it. Good luck and thanks for joining in on the fun at Cheery Lynn Designs challenge blog.
