Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - Neutrals August 30, 2011

Ok when I saw the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger for the week - Neutrals -  I immediately thought texture.  There is that hard wood head board, but the soft inviting pillows.   I started thinking about different materials like burlap, cotton linen, and satin.   I hope you can see that  influence in the card I made - I have lots of different textures on this one - the embossed background, the shimmery rayon ribbon, the crinkled satiny bottom edge, the lacy bunch border, the flourish of gems like swirl of embroidery - ok, enough said ...  you get it!    The best part of all are those sweet crochet flowers my mom made for me!!

I had alot of fun making this card - especially that fab bow.  I really enjoy trying new things and this card had a few firsts for me - the inked up embossed image and that fab two tone bow using two separate pieces of seam binding .  No doubt I will be using both techniques again soon!  Thanks for stopping by - I hope you like my card!

Congrats on being a TT winner! Your card is so elegant. I have the same embossing folder but would never have thought of using it the way you did. Now I can see it in a different light. Thanks for the inspiration!

Your card is soooo pretty! I love the masculine undertones but the softness of the flowers and the bows. It really captures the roughness of the wood headboard but the light and feminine touches. Awesome!
Thanks for sharing! :)
