I saw this gorgeous sketch by Anya Schrier and I started hearing wedding bells! I don't have a wedding to go to right now, so I will be adding this card to my stash - another benefit of blogging. Sometimes I see a design and an idea just comes to me. This design just looks so elegant to me with that fancy cut bottom. Check out the congratulations card I made for this weeks' Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!
To make my stamp read "Wedding Congratulations" I used the "Wedding Invitation" stamp from the Big Day Essentials set and taped off the "invitation" part. That is how I ink up only the parts of the stamp I want. I take a small piece of tape and cover up the part I don't want to use. Then I ink of the stamp, remove the tape and stamp away. Next I took the "congratulations" stamp from the Fancy Phrases set and completed my sentiment.
I used pearl paper for the bottom border, the embossed section, and the border above the bow. The glitter paper, foil and pearls make this perfect for an elegant wedding celebration. I hope you are playing along with the sketch challenge this week. If you'd like more information click on the Waltzingmouse blinkie in the right column.
