Pretty Little Studio - To The Moon

Every Friday we feature a category from the Pretty Little Studio Shoppe! Today's Friday Feature is die cuts! Die cuts are pre printed, and cut images and words that are ready to work with. They make putting together projects - cards or layouts a breeze!
I started with papers from the Here Comes The Sun Collections - Up In The Air (Stripes, Flowers) Summer Party (Yellow). The Black & White Dots print you see at the bottom of the card is actually from the packaging in the collection. It's too pretty to throw away - and it's so smart that packaging is minimal when you repurpose.
I always add a strip of solid card stock when the pattern papers seem to be fading in to each other. This helps keep the patterns distinct and able to hold their own.
A Coffee Break 3 x 4" Journaling Card is the perfect background for the To The Moon and Back sentiment. All the die cuts you see - the banner, stars and "to the moon and back" sentiment are from this one die cut package.
I added some Think Positive word stickers to the banner to add some enthusiasm to the sentiment!

The finishing touch was a sprinkle of Crystal Sequins - they shine like little stars!

Tag You're It - Country Houses

A new challenge begins today at Tag You're It Challenge!  Our guest this time is the fabulous Loll Thompson from Stamping with Loll!   There's lots to love about this one.. check out the fabulous inky background.. it reminds me of the aurora boreallis! (Northern Lights)    And the fabulous intricate die cuts.. glittery snowy accents, and colorful stamped sentiment!  Pefection right?

I love this tag, but am always striving to try to make things my own.  I don't ever want to copy someone's design, but I'll grab things from it that inspire me.   I kept lots of things that I loved about this the same.. the inky background, the colored stamped sentiment, the pretty bow, and even some glitter.

I went non- traditional with the colors - reds and pinks.  I'm addicted to die cuts and have more than I can ever even count.  I love them all!  I wanted to go for a more retro look since I was using non traditional colors.. the pink reminds me of the aqua, pink, lime and puples of my childhood - yes.. on a white tree! LOL!

The die I used is from Poppystamps - it's called COUNTRY HOUSES. It has a background die so you can put lights in the windows if you like. I left mine completely white - creating a silhouette for the inky background.
This stamp is also from Poppystamps CHRISTMAS GREETINGS - it's a set entirely filled with sentiments.

25 Days of Christmas Tags - Pretty Pink Posh

Are you checking out Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags Event? This year she has a different sponsor for each of the 25 days! That means a different company is featured every single day and there's lots of great prizes up for grabs!

Today's sponsor is ...

Pretty Pink Posh started out as the place to buy all your favorite sequins - they have every color imaginable!  They also have some amazing and unique die cuts that will compliment all your card designs.  Did you know they have clear stamps with coordinating die cuts too?  You should check them out here!

I made this cute Snowman Tag!  I started out with a watercolor panel cut with the Stitched Duo Die 3!  It's got a pretty stitching all the way around that is crisp and clean.  For the snow I used a few Scallop Border Die Cuts.  I like that the repeated stitched pattern!

The snowman and simple sentiment are from the Happy Snowman set.  It's a mini set making this very affordable.  The snowman has two scarves and sentiments to choose from.  There's even a coordinating die set!

I added some snowflakes and sequins from the Winter Sparkle Mix.

The ribbon is from May Arts and the twine is from The Twinery - its a new color blend called Icicle!

Stop by Tracey's blog - In My Creative Opinion to see more Pretty Pink Posh inspired tags - there's a little candy up for grabs too!
