Case Study Challenge #108 - For the Birds

Ok very unusual for me - I actually have 3 posts today.  I have been feeling so productive lately - gotta take advantage of that MOJO when you have it right?  So if you are looking for The Paper Sweeties Day 2 September Release, or Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge please scroll down.  Thank you!!

I was excited to see that I made Top 3 over at CASE last week.  I was playing along with The September muse / guest designer Torico!!  I am always learning something over at Case Study Challenge and I am always trying something new.   This time it was the big window frame - something I think I've only done once before (probably at CASE).  You know I'm a frilly girl and this month, honestly I think Torico is giving me lessons on C&S.  Her style is very clean and graphic something that has alluded me.
I turned her monkeys into love birds to layer over that big heart, and embossed the white top layer with a simple design.  Instead of the colorful ribbon - I used red to pick up on the red in the patterned paper.  You can take this design any direction you like, you can go bananas, fall in love with the heart, make a rainbow - just grab anything that jumps at you from this cute design.  To make things even sweeter CASE is featuring two guest designers- Anja Curvers and Vickie Zimmer.  Plenty of inspiration here so hop on over and PLAY!!

Hugs
Jeanne

WMSC #15 - I'm the Gingerbread Man!!

Happy Saturday!  Hope everyone made it through the hectic week.  It's time to sit back and see who won Top Mouse and check out the new Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.  I'm off to a cross country meet today.  I'm so happy my son is getting to run varsity this meet!  He's been working really hard trying to run his way in to the top 7 at his new school.  He's excited too - I hope he runs his socks off!
Well how is this for a sketch?  This one is by Jennifer Holmes of  Simple Flourishes.  I will tell you the truth, I stared at this one a little while before I figured out that I wanted to turn those squares into little gingerbread men. If you don't feel inspired right away hop on over to the WMSC blog and check out the inspiration from the other mischief makers.  You will be sure to see something that jump starts you.  Who knows, you might even win a set of free stamps!!    I stamped them in Versafine to get a clean impression with how solid the image is.  I ran a glue stick over them and sprinkled on the sugary glitter.  I think the glue stick keeps the paper from getting too wet.

I hope you find some time to play this week.  Oh and don't forget the Waltzingmouse blog party is on the 17th!  The Theme this month is Fall - this will be a great place to show off your favorite Waltzingmouse stamps dipped in some pretty fall color, or get some fab ideas for your Thanksgiving cards!  You can get all the details here

Thanks!
Jeanne

Paper Sweeties September Release - Day 2

It's day 2 of the Paper Sweeties new release preview.  All the stamps are officially available today!   This month has lots of cute costumes to dress your favorite sweetie in - just in time for your Halloween greetings or treats..

I stamped Sophie on white cardstock, colored her with Copics and then die cut the image.  I stamped her outfit and fussy cut it to adhere to her body.  I used a pop dot on her hat to add dimension, and some twine for the handle of her treat bag.  This set has lots of clever sentiments like the "Got Candy" one I added on a teeny tag and hung from the twine bow.

Why not check out what the other DT members came up with for the new release?  We will show you more previews tomorrow.  You can click on the DT member names below to hop to their blogs.
