Let It Snow!

Hi Friends! Happy New Year! I hope your 2025 is off to a good start! We're in the middle of a cold snap here in the Midwest so I'm happy to be comfy cozy at home making it all!
I wanted to remind you today that Poppystamps has a monthly challenge It's a great way to show how much you love Poppystamps and let us all see what you make! The theme this month is Midas Touch! It's our way of wishing you that everything you touch turns to gold! This time we're asking you to add some gold to your design. It's easy to link your designs to your Instagram, Blog, or other online gallery.
I made a snow scene featuring the Nordic Dancing Gnome. He looks a heck of a lot like Santa, but he's quickly turning into one of my favorite forest friends! His "dancing" posture made him perfect for posing on a Forest Stump tree trunk.
I added the Nordic Fancy Background to look like a snowy sky, and the Whittle Field and Trees cut from white glitter paper makes a snowy ground. Nordic Frilly Trees are cut from green and a bit of gold embellishes their branches.
I hope you'll join us for the challenge - it's a great way to make a card and add it to your stash so that you're ready for just about anything! What a great way to start the year!

My Creative Scrapbook January 2025 Main Kit

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great day! If you're looking for a great way to treat yourself I hope you consider trying a subscription to one of the My Creative Scrapbook
monthly kits. They select the pattern papers and lots of coordinating supplies and deliver it straight to your front door so all you have to focus on is MAKING! Every month they have several kits to choose from.. their Main Kit, LE - Limited Edition, Creative Kit and Album Kit - so you can choose what's right for you!
This time I'm working with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers from Simple Stories "Front Porch" and Bo Bunny "Once Upon A Lifetime" 12" Collections, and loads of embellishments including die cuts from chipboard, stickers, a Thickers alphabet set, a big die cut sentiment, and a stamp set too!
I love the mix of colors and prints in this set. Every month the kit is different but rest assured that each pack is hand selected to coordinate all of the elements and embellishments beautifully.
This time the theme is HOME - our favorite happy place. The embellishments include familiar household objects.. stacks of books, coffee cups, rocking chairs and OH MY!! the most beautiful florals ever!

My favorite pieces in this set are all of the little birds! They're perfect for perching here and there, and being a bird watcher - just make me so happy!
The kit includes lots of sentiments too - I like using the strip sentiments on the 12" sticker sheet. The same sheet also has a few 12" border stickers. I add baby powder to the back of the stickers so I can cut them to size or move them around without damaging them and accidentally sticking them in place.
The it includes everything you need to make these cards. The only items I added were the card bases, solid cardstock papers, adhesives, and enamel dots from my stash. You can incorporate you own favorite gems or sequins to add more sparkle to the designs.
It was fun mixing and matching papers and creating layouts with this kit and I look forward to making with it every month! I had lots left over paper and embellishments when I was done so I can make some tags and embellish my day planner too!
I invite you to join one of their monthly kit clubs and experience the possibilities that their coordinated kits offer. With plenty of innovative materials and ideas to jump start your imagination, preserving your memories and making cards will be effortless and enjoyable. You can see all of the different kits available this month here at My Creative Scrapbook.

Waffle Flower January Release & Giveaway!!

The wait is over! The January Waffle Flower Release is available in the store. We're calling this release "Far Far Away" because its an escape to a magical place filled with fantasy and fun!
Today I'm focusing on the BFF stamp set and Dreamy Frame die to show some of the different images and ways that you can switch up the design.
The frame cuts the center pierced oval, scallop frame and star background to create a focal point on your designs. For the first I wanted gold glitter to peek through the stars. I left out the oval in the center so that the gold peeks through the center as well.
On this card I added a Distress Ink background to create a mini scene focal point. This is the only card that I used all three pieces of the frame.
For this card I used only the scallop frame and left the outer edge and center oval off completely.
I forgot to mention that the Dreamy Frame also has a cluster of little clouds set in the center of the oval.  The clouds are great for adding to background scenes.  I added some over the scene and had some spill into the frame itself.
I like the dusting of clouds that adds to the magic of the wizard with his BFF owl familiar!
And now the part you've been waiting for.. the Giveaway!
