Waffle Flower September Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Waffle Flower September Release Blog Hop! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you this release! This month there's lots of new to share so let's get started!!!

These are the new Layered Abstract Flowers on a gold foil background called Elongated Hex. I used the coordinating stencil to add color to the Hex centers and some glitz gel makes them look like gems!

The Eucalyptus Panel Frame makes a great focal point for a sentiment. I inked a colorful background panel, and some gold sequins for a pretty shaker!

Now for some holiday inspiration! The new HOT FOIL Oversized Merry Christmas is so pretty layered over a gold foil background. I added stenciled hex centers with a coordinating stencil and some Christmas Sub Sentiments.

How about some HOT FOIL CONFETTI for the new year? I topped the foil with Distress Oxide and YEAR 2023 die cuts.

The Brush Lettered Happy New Year Die is so pretty! I made two cards.. both have distress ink backgrounds in rainbow colors, but one has a layer of glitz glitter gel over the top for some extra sparkle and shine.

This is the HOT FOIL SWAG Background die. I used the coordinating stencil to add Blueprint sketch distress ink between the swags, and colored the swag elements in rainbow colors with Copic Markers. The YEAR 2023 numbers are cut from gold glitter and white cardstock.

Spellbinders September Card Kit

Have you tried one of the Spellbinders club kits yet? A subscription for $38.50 a month provides a fabulous kit filled with LOTS of supplies to work with including a stamp and die set that you'll still have long after the other kit ingredients have been used up. Here's a peek at the September 2022 Card Making Club Kit.

The kit includes EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. You get a pattern paper pad, die cut images, stickers, sequins, a stamp set, a die set, solid cardstock and even card bases, envelopes, double sided tape and foam dots.

This kit is eye candy for the crafter. It' includes chipboard embroidery hoops and paper die cuts of other crafty materials and tools including scissors, yarn, knitting and crochet hooks, pearl tip pins and more.

You'll also find lots of cute critters and fun whimsical florals. I really like the colors - a mix of pastels and brights in more fun patterns.

I know these cards will be a hit with my crafty friends and family members who enjoy hobbies that are both creative and useful, and most importantly make us know we're loved.

Maybe the images remind you of specific people too? The sewing reminds me of my Mom who had a singer sewing machine set inside a big wood table! I used to love looking through the patterns and looking at the elegant ladies on the covers.

One of my favorite parts about the kit is that it includes a die set. This time it's an embroidery hoop and lots of little florals and foliage. There's even a needle and thread die! The cuts look great cut from the foil and used as accents on your designs.

The sentiment stamped on the pattern paper is from the stamp set that's also included in the kit.

Long after all your pretty papers and embellishments are gone you'll still be able to play because the kit also includes a stamp and a die set. The die this time includes an embroidery hoop, florals and even a needle and thread!

Fusion Card Challenge - Pinwheels

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and you'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

I'm typically drawn to the inspiration photo.. the inspiration photo this time is called Pinwheels. I spy gold, grey and navy pinwheels that reminded me of foldable fans.. If you're not loving the photo, don't forget.. there are other ways to play along!

1. The inspiration photo
2. The sketch
3. Color challenge
4. Fuse them all together (you clever one!)

It's your choice, but I sure hope that you choose to play!

I couldn't get foldable fans out of my head so I took it that direction... I cut the Tutti Designs Fan Background die twice. My cut machine is getting older so the technique was easy.. one die cut all the way through and one still together in one piece. If you have a newer machine you can keep all the pieces together by adding packing tape to the back of your cardstock before you cut your die.

I colored the panel that is held together with Copic markers in shades of blue, yellow and grey. You don't have to be too careful coloring because you're going to cover your work with the clean cut die. I wanted lots of sparkle so I spread some Glitz glitter gel over the colored panel before I added the clean cut die.

A sparkly Big Hello Sugar Script is cut from navy glitter paper and a hot foil "sending hugs" sentiment from Poppystamps Modest Greetings is added just underneath.
