Countdown to Confetti Day 1
Sending Smiles, Springtime Sentiments

It's a great day for a visit! Today is the first day in the Countdown to Confetti - the March Reverse Confetti release.

There's lots to see with SIX new stamp sets and TEN Confetti Cut dies! Today we're sharing peeks at Sending Smiles and Springtime Sentiments.
Sending Smiles is a three layer stamped floral and leaf set. The flowers are so pretty in just about every color you can imagine.. and I stamped ALOT! I love the finishing layer of little dots on the leaves that remind me of lilies.
I arranged the florals over the new Big Egg die cut. The egg is a nice size - perfect for an A2 size card and would make a great shaker. I filled in the stripes with cardstock match the florals and then popped it up with adhesive foam tape.

Do you love that dotted background? It was stamped with the new Dot to Dot stamp set which is a FREEBIE with purchase this release. I inked it with Distress Oxide because pigment ink gives good coverage on solid images. The stamp isn't big enough to go across the entire card. You can't see it, but underneath the egg is unfinished. I stamped from the right and from the left edge - having the dots meet in the center. I knew it would be covered by the egg so I didn't line everything up precisely.
That big sentiment running through the middle of the card is from the Springtime Sentiments stamp set. The egg-stra special sentiment goes great with the Big Egg.
My second card features the new Layered Mom & Frame Confetti Cut. The opening seemed like the perfect place to add a layer - so I inserted a Scallop Stripe Panel Inside.
Aren't the Sending Smiles florals pretty in shades of orange? I stamped the leaves in different shades of green so I could mix and match them to add some depth to the design.

In case you're wondering.. yes the little dot in the center of the flower is a separate stamp and die. Again it's three layers of stamping just like the flower and leaves. Just make sure that your solid die is lighter than the accent (outline and dots) images.

I love the stitching on that big frame, and it's large enough to hold it's own as a shaped card. I think some home decor projects might be great too with these frames holding some photos.
Ready to see more designs made with the new release? Here's a list of designers with projects to share today!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll come by tomorrow when we'll be sharing peeks at a new set called Friendly Florals. Have a great weekend!

Fintastic!

Are you hooked yet? I mean come on!!! That sea turtle smiling at you? LOL! I think it's just ADORABLE!
Today I'm playing along at Seize the Birthday where they're looking for Ocean Creatures!    I love that we are living in a time when there are so many images for you to choose from (elegant to cute and adorable) so you can make for kids or adults!

Today I'm sharing a card made with the Oceans of Love stamp set with coordinating dies. You know I love a scene card and this stamp set includes EVERYTHING you need to make lots of cute scenes!

My card starts with a Distress Oxide inked panel in shades of green and blue (Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean). I added kelp, coral, and waves to create a seascape for the turtle and fish.
If you look close you'll see that some of the elements are adhered flat to the card base while others are adhered with adhesive foam tape to add dimension. I always stamp extra of the scene building images (like the kelp, clouds and coral) to bring the scenes to life.

I hope you find some time for a sweet escape crafting today!

Blue Rose Bouquet

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and you'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!
You know me.. always attracted to what I see.. and I spy a GORGEOUS blue bouquet of ROSES! Flowers are always my favorite subject so I'm running with that! There are so many beautiful layered florals in stamps and dies and I have LOTS in my collection. Maybe the photo isn't inspiring you? That's ok.. you can still play along with the sketch. And this time there is a THIRD way to play.. use the color chart and make it a color challenge!
There's some new layered florals in town and they're from Birch Press Design. You're going to love these beauties and the best part is that they're easy to mix and match. Just as an example.. the flowers I used are called Winsome Rose, but I took the leaves from the Dainty Rose die set.
The Winsome Rose is a 3 die layer set. An easy way to cut LOTS of flowers fast is to cut all three dies from three shades of cardstock. Next just layer the cuts and bam! you have three pretty florals that are each uniquely different, but still look great together!
My background is a lacy panel die from the Viola set. I layered the die cut over a Tumbled Glass Distress Inked panel.
I thought a small sentiment was best so that I didn't cover up any of those pretty dies. This one is from the Birch Press Happy Lingo stamp set. The finishing touch is a few Fairy Drops arranged to look like dew drops.
Now it's your turn! I can't wait to see how you interpret the inspiration photo OR the sketch. Maybe you need a little more inspiration? Check out designs from the rest of the team. Just click on their names below to jump to their blogs.

I hope I see you at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and make new friends! I'm always inspired by the team as well as the linked up designs!
