Paper Sweeties: Winter Wonderland

Thanks for joining me for the December release of Paper Sweeties.  We're kicking things off early this month showing previews today through December 5.  The stamps will be in the store early too so you have more time to craft some beautiful holiday cards.  Today the design team is showing you the new Winter Wonderland set.  Debbie packed in as much as she possibly could into this 4 x 4 set.  It features a snowman,  some sentiments, snowflakes, and loads more!!

I stamped a background of snowflakes and added a little distress to the edges.  I colored up the images with Copic markers and fussy cut all the pieces to make this little scene.
I hope you will visit the rest of the design team and see the beautiful things they made with this set.  Just click on their names below to hop to their blogs.

Poppystamps Christmas Tag Blog Hop!

Thanks for stopping by for the Poppystamps Chirstmas Tag Blog Hop!  If you are following along on the hop you should have reached me from Jean Manis' blog Right as Rain. If you'd like to start at the beginning and get all the details as well as see what candy is being offered up click here.

I think a tag is such a wonderful way to dress up a gift, whether it's a bag of chocolate dipped pretzels or a fancy package with a gorgeous fabric bow.   It's just that little extra touch that shows someone how much you care.  They know if you spent some time hand crafting the tag that what's inside the package just has to be extra special!

I'm giving all the credit for this one to A Charlie Brown Christmas - gotta tell you.. I've always been enchanted by Snoopy's dog house and the endless supply of decorations he has available.  Sort of like the endless line of clowns that can come out of a single car - know what I mean?  So I totally decked out this little tag -embossing the base, and  dressing up the birdie house with colorful lanterns and a poinsettia!

I'm sure you want to see more - The next stop is my friend Kimberly Coleman!  She's sure to have something wonderful made just for you!   Please make sure you leave comments as you go!  There is hidden candy along the way and who knows - if you've been very good - could be an extra present under the tree for you!  You have until December 8 to leave a comment - winners will be posted on the Poppystamps Blog on December 9.

Paper Sweeties December Inspiration Challenge #14

Are you a Paper Sweeties fan? Well then you are going to want to stay tuned and check back often since we are doing things a little different this month.  Normally we have new release previews on the 13-16 of every month, but since you will be wanting these stamps early to make some cards they are hitting the store early.  Previews begin tomorrow.  Today begins a new monthly inspiration challenge at Paper Sweeties.  There is a new challenge every month and it's a great way to get ideas for your stamps as well as a chance to win some new ones!  Check out the inspiration photo this month - lots of earth tones and neutrals to work with here.

I made a layered card featuring a blond Sophie dressed as an angel  I paper pieced her tunic and wings and added different textures (crochet lace, burlap trim).  I was thinking of the nativity  I wanted to mix elegance and opulence, with a down to earth homespun feel.

Want to see more?  Here's a list of the designers with projects today.   I really like that the Design Team alumni (which I will be joining next month) return for the sketch challenge every month.  I've gotten to know these ladies and respect and admire their creativity.
