RR#43 Nordic Noel

Wow!  Today is my first post for the Ribbon Reel Design Team!!  I'm really honored and thrilled to be working with this group of ladies!  Of course getting my hands on some fabulous ribbons and embellishments never hurt either!  The Ribbon Reel has everything you need to turn something ordinary into something extra ordinary!!

The inspiration photo this week was selected by Helen Berry!  She always makes something fabulous - decked out in gorgeous ribbons and trims - can't wait to see what she did with this one!   I'd love it if you would join us and play along this week.  The challenge is a Nordic Noel - a Scandinavian inspired photo -  you are to use kraft red and white, and include buttons, ribbon and twine.  You can use any brand of stamps and dies you like - just be sure to follow the guidelines!  Challenges are bi monthly so you have some extra time to play!  You can get all the details here.
I stamped some pine boughs hung with stockings and ornaments and made my focal point an embossed tree layered on some gorgeous ribbons.  I'm slowly building my PTI collection and I couldn't resist this set with so many add ons.  I love the nordic ribbon with the sweet reindeer don't you?
Thanks for stopping by!  Have a beautiful day!

Paper Sweeties December Sketch Challenge - Missing You

Did you know Paper Sweeties has a sketch challenge?   That's right!  Every month you have a chance to win two sets of Paper Sweeties stamps - but you have to play to win!    Here's the sketch for this month!  Easy right?  With the holiday's I always start thinking about those who can't make it home for the holidays.  I made my card featuring Sophie holding a "Dear Santa" note asking for Jake to come home and meet her under the mistletoe!  Jake of course is in his Class A's - so handsome!  Already there and waiting with his own mistletoe in hand - always prepared right?
I hope you will join us at Paper Sweeties for the December sketch! And don't forget that we'll start showing previews of the December release on December 13th!  See you then!

WMSC127 - MWAH!!!

YAYYYY!    It's Saturday - time for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!  We are working through a series of sketches from the Mischief Makers.  This week's design is by Teresa Kline from Paperie Blooms!  I will admit I was a little stumped with the tree shape, but not to worry - there's lots of inspiration from The Mischief Makers and even a few Design Team members too!  I've made lots of Christmas Cards this year, but that won't stop me from making a few more special ones that I can hand deliver.  This one is for my sweetie with a big Mwah! just for him.  He is always indulging me with my crafty wants and must haves!

I started out with the labels 14 and cut an oval in the center.  I thought this would make a pretty frame for my fussy cut mistletoe.  I put a few gems on the berries but other than that they are clean and untouched.  I added some pretty swirls and a big fat bow and there you have it!  I think this is as clean and simple as I get (sorry!) that bow is just so satisfying!!

Thanks for having a peek - I hope you find some time in between the hustling and bustling to play!
