Layle By Mail Season Pass 2.0 Winter/Spring February Edition Part 2

Today I’m sharing four cards made with the latest Layle By Mail Season Pass 2.0 for Winter/Spring. The paper pack includes (12) exclusive 12x12 double-sided papers (and the 12x12 cover sheet also has an additional pattern on the back side!). I also used the exclusive die cuts and wordstrip stickers on my designs.
From ringing in the new year in January, Valentine fun in February, and the magic of Spring in bloom, everything in the Winter/Spring Season Pass 2.0 is designed to help you capture the season’s most meaningful moments with ease and style. My focus today was creating four February/Valentine/Love themed cards.
This kit is ideal for documenting special moments or creating fun cards to celebrate the change of season with family and friends. The papers and die cuts are easy to separate into the different occasions, but are also perfectly coordinated to work together if you like.
I think these cards will be great for sending love across the miles, and for celebrating anniversary or engagement news. Whatever you decide, you know it’s going to look great because everything is color matched and designed by Layle who also loves to make!
I like to use the 3x4” journaling cards to create focal points for my designs. They are usually a solid color which makes them perfect for layering over busy pattern papers. Some even have printed sentiments so all you need to do is add embellishments!
I arrange the different elements on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base. I can arrange and re arrange elements until I'm happy before I commit and adhere everything in place. This also allows me to slip the different pattern papers underneath to get a preview of the finished design.
I always add the wordstrip stickers last. I like to use them like washi, along the seams where two papers meet. They add the perfect little detail to each design.
The kit has everything you need to make all of my cards. The only items I added are the card bases, solid cardstock matts, adhesives and gems from my stash. Here's a photo of all four cards together so you can see the variety of things you can make.
Thanks again for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Thinking of You and Smiling

Today I'm playing along at Just Add Ink where this time they want you to add a stencil or a die or both. I'm all about the die cuts so that's my choice for this challenge!
My card started with the Pink and Main Floral Frame stamp. This is one big stamp meant to cover an A2 panel. I thought it was so pretty, but I didn't feel like coloring so I turned to embossing. I knew GOLD was the way to go and decided to add it to teal blue paper.
I added lots of layers to this one. Scallops under the embossed panel, and a Double Stitched Heart topper.
That sweet sentiment is from the same stamp set as the pretty floral frame. I love that the set has everything you need to make a card... the large stamped image as well as several sentiments. There's also a coordinating die cut for the frame.
Gotta love that gold embossing. It really takes everything to the next level!   Thanks for stopping by! The weekend is almost here! I hope you enjoy it!

Hello Spring Blooms

Hi friends! Today I'm playing at Craft Rocket Challenges where this time it's about FLOWERS! Flowers are my favorites so COUNT ME IN!

This is the new Watering Can Shaker from Pretty Pink Posh. I didn't use it as as shaker. just a die cut watering can that I filled up with flowers from the Stitched Spring Flowers die set.

The background is a Scallops Pierced Plate that adds lots of yummy texture, and the sentiment is from the Spring Blooms Stamp Set.
I had fun stacking and arranging the beautiful blooms and wish you could see this one in person. It's just HAPPY!
I hope you find some time to play because we all need some flowers! And if there are none outside lets make our own!

How've You Been?

Today I'm playing at A Cut Above where it's always about the die cuts. Die cuts are always my favorite. It's been years, but it's still magic to put a piece of paper in my die cut machine, turn the handle, and WOW! An intricate cut design on the other side!
I had along night. Maybe you did too? How about a little pick me up to get you going and remind you that there's still some simple pleasures left to enjoy!
The Cozy Mug die set from Pink and main comes with the mug, heart, marshmallow, whipped cream and chocolates.. or are they biscuits? You decide! The sentiment is from the coordinating Grande Sized stamp set and has lots of punny coffee themed sentiments.
My background is part "Swirly" dry embossed, and part plaid die cut background meant to look like a tablecloth. I stacked some oval die cuts to look like a saucer. The finishing touch is a sprinkle of On The Town Gems. I love them!
Hugs to you! I hope you're week is off to a great start!

Festive North Pole Greetings

Hi friends! I hope you're doing well! Today I'm sharing a card made with Pretty Little Studio's latest collection called Candy Cane!  I'm linking up to Christmas Crafts All Year Round Challenge where you're supposed to use a letter C = mine is for the Candy Cane Collection and letter D mine is for Deck The Halls.
If you're a fan of BRIGHTS like I am then you're going to love this collection! It's a feast for the eyes that reminds me of multi color holiday lights!

I used some stacked frames to create a focal point for my design. The postage cancel stamp takes center stage surrounded by beautiful florals and an adorable elf dangling some mistletoe overhead.
I added a few embellishments - the "dear santa" sentiment sticker along the top edge of the card, a "festive" die cut along the bottom, and a die cut scallop border along the right edge. The finishing touch is a sprinkle of gems from my own stash.
Any day I get a holiday card made for my stash is always a plus especially this time of year because there's no pressure to get it done quick!
