Butterfly Swell

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and you'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!
This time the photo inspiration is a blue color palette. I was drawn to the ombre shades and beautiful butterflies! Not feeling inspired by the photo or the colors? That's ok.. you can still play along with the sketch. And if you're feeling clever you can fuse the sketch and the photo together!
I pulled card stock in all the shades of blue in the inspiration photo and topped them with a panel that I die cut with pretty butterflies. This is the Butterfly Swell die from Memory Box.

I trimmed the edges of the die cut panel so that the striped blue panel would show on the ends as well as the swell in the center of the die. The sentiment is new from Poppystamps - its silver foil on black cardstock from a sentiment set called Modest Greetings 1.
I scattered gems in two different shades of blue along the outer edges of the design. They add more color, some shine and perhaps some motion for the butterflies.
Now it's your turn! I can't wait to see how you interpret the inspiration photo OR the sketch. Maybe you need a little more inspiration? Check out designs from the rest of the team. Just click on their names below to jump to their blogs.

I hope I see you at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and make new friends! I'm always inspired by the team as well as the linked up designs!
