Stamptember Exclusive - Reverse Confetti Wonderful You!

HEY! It's STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp! And there's lots new to see! Today Reverse Confetti is collaborating with Simon Says Stamp with the new Wonderful You stamp and die set. 

You know how I love COLOR! Lots of contrast here! The stamp set includes a loopy stem and three solid images so you can stamp the leaves in solid colors. The solids are not meant up to line up perfectly so it is very forgiving and gives a soft loose feel to the design. 

I don't know that there are any techniques that are "new" anymore.... but this one is new to me. I wanted to think of a way to add a background color quick and easy. I didn't want to fussy cut the twigs, and the thought of making all those masks was just too much for me to get my head around so here's what I did...

I covered all the stamped leaves with Ranger Glossy Accents. Make sure you just walk away and let them dry.. you're not going to hurry this so don't even try! I left mine overnight. The next morning I used cosmetic brushes to add ombre shades of distress ink and a splatter of gold. I used an old towel to wipe off the excess ink from the shiny leaves and WOW! So happy with the results! The shine looks heat embossed without the mess.
