Hero Arts Summer Catalog Blog Hop!

Are you hopping along with Hero Arts? The Hero Arts Design Team, A Blog Named Hero Challenge Design Team and guests are joining together today to celebrate the latest Hero Arts release. If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Ericka Strange. If you'd like to start from the beginning and get all the details, you'll find them here, on the Hero Arts Blog
I have two cards to share today. The first is made with the new On The Prairie die set. It includes a skull and florals (you can see a graphic at the bottom of this post). It reminds me of a Georgia O'Keeffe painting!

The die cuts are on a panel of white card stock that has been inked up with the Tile Pattern Stencil. I used a stencil brush and the inks are Ranger Distress Seedless Preserves and Salty Ocean. The brush allows me to control the hue and eliminates any hard lines.
I added enamel dots to the flower centers. The skull is double cut - once from vintage cream, and once from fine linen card stock. I inked up the edges of the die cut with Ranger Antique Linen Distress ink to give an aged look.
The sentiment is from the Thanks Stamp & Cut set. The angled corners were created with an angle corner punch.
It wouldn't be summer without a road trip. When my son was a scout I would pack him a box of goodies with a camping themed note to remind him how much I love him. He still goes on trips with his friends and I still sneak a note in his bag.

The National Parks stamp set includes four wood mounted rubber stamps. I inked up the images with Memento ink and colored the images with Copic Markers.
I die cut the images with a square die cut and then mounted them on a larger square. Maybe you picked up on this? I wanted the card to resemble a Polaroid.
The "Safe Travels" sentiment is from the Enjoy The Journey cling stamp set.
I love how each of the images depicts landmarks from each of the parks. The American Bison and Geyser on the Yellowstone stamp are my favorites!
Ready to see more projects made with products from the new catalog? Your next stop is Juhi Khanna.  You can see the entire new catalog here.   Before you go PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT!!

And now it's time to hop! Be sure to visit each blog on the list and leave a little love - we will be giving away two $50 shopping sprees to the Hero Arts online store, randomly drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Sunday, May 20th at 11:59 PM PT and we will announce the winners the following week.

Here's the complete blog hop list for easy reference! I know you'll be inspired!

Your first card gave me a laugh. I used to have a plastic cow skull that was motion activated and would moo when someone came into a room. I don't know whatever became of it. Nice cards.
