Pretty Little Studio Happy Day

I hope you're having an amazing day! There's so much going on at Pretty Little Studio! Melissa keeps adding new collections to the shop! I think they're all so wonderful I can't wait to get my hands on them! If you haven't stopped by in a while you really should!!! .... and soon!! Today I'm playing with the Dream Big Collection!

This collection has quickly become one of my favorites! It has a light pastel color scheme in pinks, yellow and aqua with a dramatic pop of black for lots of contrast and drama. The images are loose with a hand drawn feel designed by Claudia van Rooijen.

I started with a background of papers in pink and black and topped them with a Dream Big Tag. The pack has 15 die cut tags in different sizes. I added a black twine tie to the tag to repeat the color throughout the design and add more contrast. The tag is the foundation of the card and I built a scene on top of it.

I started with the clouds from different die cut packs. The blue striped cloud is from Wonderful and the black stripe cloud is from Happy Heart. I added a circle sentiment from the Frames "My Darling" pack. I wanted it to look like a sun peeking up from behind the clouds.

I added lots of hearts falling from the clouds like rain. You can find die cut hearts in each of the die cut packs in the collection and they're fun to mix and match. They come in a variety of colors iwth different patterns including stripes, dots, and stitched.

All the elements available in the collection look beautiful together and the colors match perfectly. The fun part is looking through them and arranging them. I always lay things out on a clear sheet of plastic so I can switch out the papers underneath, and move things around before I commit and adhere them to my project.
