The 12 Kits of Occasions - January 2017

Hi and thanks for stopping by!  It's the last day of the month and you know what that means right?  It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions!  We're a group of 12 friends who like to paper craft.  Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group.  Everyone gets the same things - stamped images, pattern paper, die cuts, embellishments.... and on the last day of the month we all post what we made with the kit.   It's fun to see how our designs are similar or oh so very different.
Our hostess this month is Lindsey Larsen from Occasional Crafting!  This kit represents Lindsey clean and elegant style beautifully!   Want a peek?

The kit included beautiful papers from Jen Hadfield, stamped images from Concord & 9th, Papertrey Ink, and Altenew as well as several die cuts and embellishments (the icing on the cake!)

I made 6 cards and could have easily kept going!   Tricky ingredients?   I still have a handful of items left that I still want to use that include some wood veneer hearts and teal button twine.  I'm going to keep my eye out for the little bicycle stamp because it was too cute to ignore.
Ready to see more?  BEFORE YOU GO... Please leave a comment.  I'm the lucky hostess with the mostest for the March kit and we have a three chances for you to play along with us.  The theme of my kit is "Out of this World" (think outer space).  I'll select one winner from this post - and Lindsey is going to pick two winners from our blog - The 12 Kits of Occasions January kit post!  So leave me a comment here and make sure you leave a comment on the 12 Kits blog!! Good Luck!!

Wow Jeanne, I knew I'd be in awe of your cards (because I always am) but let me pick my jaw up off the floor. These are all so gorgeous!! You are truly the layering queen and I there always seems to be so much eye candy on each card. Your shaker card is so sweet and I'm totally loving the simplicity of the black and white cards with the pink backgrounds. Your water coloring is out of this world! You are truly one talented lady!! Thank you so much for letting me craft along with you all. <3

Superb job with this kit, Jeanne, all of your cards are so pretty! I really like that you left some of the floral images plain and used papers to add all the color!

Never will I EVER be able to layer as you do, Jeanne! Your skills are exceptional always! Each month I find some wonderful idea for something I've saved from the kit for 'next time' - your water colored panel is stunning - the colors are so tropical!! all beautiful, all of the time!! xx

Jeanne, these are gorgeous! I see you in each one. So full of lovely layers and bright colors. Always a joy to see what you do with a kit! Even the ones left uncolored are stars because of how you showcase them. Oh, and have to give a nod to your blog heading, bright and beautiful just like you! Hugs!

WOW, Jeanne, six beauties here! I was afraid to mess up my cake by coloring it but never thought to use it like you did. It looks awesome! Your Happy Birthday watercolored florals are stunning. Now I need that stamp set so I can practice coloring using different mediums. It was a blast participating with this month's kit. I'll be eager to see yours as I know it will be out of this world in more ways than one!

The uncolored images are gorgeous with the softer colors. And the awesome watercolored bouquet is as bright and beautiful as you! Hope your week is wonderful--hugs!!

OHHHHHHHH....so many amazing and beautiful cards! I love your final card, that tropical look is simply stunning. Your shaker is sweet and I just love your birthday cake. I was stumped with what to do with it and I love that you left it uncolored, so striking!

Jeanne, the you're sweet card is over the top amazing! With no coloring of the flowers, I can't believe how you were able to make the card so stunning (actually, I totally can since you are so amazing :). Next the happy birthday card...OMG!!!! The coloring is simply stunning, and that red flower is so bold and beautiful, it really reminds me of stained glass. The kind sentiment card is just so cute, I love that little extra button on the side :)

Umpteen apologies for being MIA; my scheduled 7 days of marking diploma exams (bonus was staying with my mom and seeing my niece and nephew pretty much every. single. day!) transformed into 12 (talk about blurry eyes!) which saw me falling behind in leaving real comments. Hopefully, you received the thought-bubble oohs and ahhs, as your gallery is absolutely stellar! Starting here to catch up and WOW! Talk about bedazzled by the six beauties you've created with the kit! I'm especially loving your non-colouring florals and cake: exactly the technique I need to rely on more often to stave off what I know will be colouring oopsies! You've created magic with the elements Lindsey shared! I've already had the honour of being a previous designer with your kit; if a second opportunity landed my way...well, I'd be over-the-moon, out-of-this-world delighted. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Jeanne each and every one of your cards made my gasp, as they always do. You are so creative and you always add lots of elements to your cards with them ending up looking cluttered! Your shaker is full of yumminess, love how you let those flowers and the cake remain uncoloured--such a strong design element! Lots of lovely colour and to end with your gorgeous watercolouring--fabulous!
