Birthday Poppies

Flowers are always my go to when I'm looking for a little pick me up. And die cut flowers are my favorite because they last forever and come in every color of the rainbow. If you love flowers too, you should check out the Crafter's Cafe because this time they're looking for ... Flowers!!!

I cut these two step flowers from four shades of cardstock and then mixed up the colors for contrast when I layered them together. They're really simple but so pretty!

I also cut the stems from two shades of green cardstock. I like to cut a few extras so I can snip off extra leaves and add tuck them in different places on the arrangement.

The background is a Hexagon Texture stitched hex design that I cut from light blue cardstock. I like the extra detail it adds to an otherwise simple design.

The hex background is topped with a lacy and solid oval stitched die cut, and a print birthday die cut sentiment.
