With the new year comes a few changes to the kit. You might notice the price is about $10 less than last year. That's because the die kit and stamp set that were included in the past will no longer be in the kit. I think this is a good idea because honestly I never really used the stamps because there are so many sentiments in the kit. I will miss the die but for the savings it seems like a good trade off.
The theme of the kits does seem appropriate for the time of year that they're released. This time of year we're looking to spring and Easter so the flowers, bunnies and other critters in the kit are perfect. The goose reminds me of a time my Grandmother brought us a goose egg for Easter. We were all so fascinated with how big it was and tried to picture a chicken that would be able to lay it!
There's also some images that are cheery reminders of home life, and that if the weather isn't cooperating you can always make your little oasis of peace and happiness at home.
I love that you'll find prints perfect for carpet and wallpaper so you can create a scene.
There is only one sheet of each patterned paper in the kit so save those scraps. I usually cut a piece that's 4" wide for card bases and use the scrap 2" piece for borders.
If you're looking for a great way to treat yourself I hope you'll try one of the Spellbinder kits that are delivered to your front door. You'll find that they're a great value and will save you lots of time because you wont have to go shopping for all the prefect coordinating elements. A subscription for $29.50 a month provides a fabulous Quick & Easy Card Kit filled with LOTS of supplies to work with including a pattern paper pad, stickers, die cuts, and lots more.
