Stained Glass Tulip Trio

Do you love die cuts? They're my number one, hands down, favorite craft product. I think it's just magic to run a metal die through my cutter and find a crisp clean beautiful die cut on the other side.
Getting my hands on a beautiful open cut like the Spellbinders Tulip Trio is heaven. There are so many amazing techniques for different ways to add color... inlay, glitter, markers... you don't have to search too far to find lots of ideas.

I decided to use one of my favorite techniques for this one. My Big Shot is getting a little up there in age and doesn't cut as well as it should. It cuts, but not deep enough for the pieces to pop out. It cuts just enough for me to see the outline of the images. I color the images with markers and top the colored panel with a clean crisp cut - one with all the parts popped out.
If your machine is newer you can add packing tape to the back of your paper - that will prevent the die from cutting all the way through, OR you can emboss the image and use that as your coloring sheet.
The floral is so pretty in periwinkle - like elegant stained glass. I added a gold glitter frame to give a little sparkle and shine.
I'm linking up to Make My Monday Challenge where they're looking for projects with colouring - any medium. My medium is Copics!  I hope you have some time to color along too!
