Sketch Saturday - Elephant Festival

Today I'm playing at Sketch Saturday! I love a sketch challenge! For me it's like following a recipe. I love that half the work is done for me because all I have to do is follow the layout. Here's this weeks sketch. 

I kept to the main design swapping the horizontal rectangle for the Spellbinders Fancy Elephant die cut on my card.

I have a retired neighbor who is retired that recently visited India. The highlight of her trip was painting a real elephant! She couldn't say enough about how gentle and intelligent these massive creatures are.

The Elephant Festival die includes all the accessories to dress your elephant including he blanket, head dress and fringes. I tucked colorful card stock pieces behind the die cut openings to remind my neighbor of the colorful paint she mentioned. 

I added lots of gold to my design, and the sentiment is foil too. I recently invested in a Glimmer machine and I love the shiny foil sentiments. A separate die cut made cutting the foil sentiment easy.
