The 12 Kits of Occasions
Under The Sea

It's the last day of the month and you know what that means right? It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions! The 12 Kits of Occasions is a group of 12 friends who all love to paper craft. Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group. We all receive the same kit with the same items. On the last day of the month we reveal what we each made with the kit. It's fun to see how we used the product in different ways. Sometimes the projects are similar and sometimes they are very different.

Our hostess this month is Kim Heggins from Cupcakes Cards and Kim. Kim is lots of fun - I call her the "Cool Mom" who takes her daughter to all the best concerts. She loves to keep busy sewing, baking and cardmaking too. I dont think that there is anything that Kim can't do!

Look at this amazing kit she put together for us! It looks like a sunny day with images from My Favorite Things, Designs by Ellen, and Avery Elle. I love the bright papers and water theme! No trixies here.. but I had to laugh when I looked at the bits left behind when I was done... I found several pretty strands of twine... I love layers and embellishments, but some how they just didn't seem necessary to me here. All the pretty papers and images deserve all the attention!

Jeanne, where do I even begin? You have such a gift for layering papers, patterns and color so perfectly. Each one of your cards screams "summer fun!" The waves and background of your "keep calm" card is fabulous and I adore those snapshots you were lucky enough to capture of the otters. So cute!

I don't how you manage to combine all those different and bold papers together so perfectly and like they were meant to be together. Your designs are so fun Jeanne, love your colouring and the placement of all the little details!

Hi Miss Jeanne! Is there a prize for most clever way to use pattern paper? I nominate YOU! All your elements shine because of the way you cleverly use pattern. ~sigh~ wonderful! PS, thanks for all the links, and where I can fill my copics. Been re-ordering the colors. Will try Dick Blick for refills.

Jeanne, you used these in the best ways! I adore every little bit of your mermaid card, and I super love how you used the little floaties. And putting the otters in little photos was such a fun idea. You always amaze me with how you use these kits!
