Hello Spring

I hope you're having a great weekend! Lately it's either get out the winter coat, or leave your coat at home weather here. I'm trying to walk every day regardless, but some days are tougher than others! While I'm walking I'm looing for signs of Spring! Today I'm playing at The Card Concept where they're looking for Spring Flowers!

These are the Spring Blooms from Pretty Pink Posh. There are three flower arrangements that are separate from the two containers (the watering can and rectangle) so you can choose what flowers to put in what container.

I cut red bottom layer with the Argyle Pierced Plate and then topped it with a peach panel that was cut with the Pierced Leafy Vines texture plates. I added a Stitched Border with stitched zig zag design to the panel for an ombre effect.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the flowers. A big plus when some brands have either a sentiment or an image stamp set. This set has BOTH.

The challenge this month is to add some pattern paper or some stenciling to your design. That's easy enough right? Both make great backgrounds or can be added to your solid die cut images!

I used pattern paper on my card to define tabletop and wall for my little scene. I started with that Nordic Cozy Cocoa cup in blue and then started adding from there. My mind is on Easter lately so I added a Nordic Happy Bunny to greet you!

I added a double cut sentiment to make it stand out more against the busy patterned paper background. The finishing touch is a sprinkle of Spring florals from the Hand Picked Bouquet and some Christmas Fairy Crystals bling!

Mush Love

I hope your week is off to a good start! Today I'm playing along at Crazy is or Fame, STENCILS are our Game! Every time it's Anything goes with a monthly "Optional" theme. This time the option is "VINES".

I'm playing with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Blocks die. It is part of the Postage Collage Series that includes Postage Stamp and Frame dies. I used sticky notes to create the funky layered background in the windows.

Next I stamped the Mush Love images with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. It gives a nice dark impression and sits on top of the paper, meaning it won't sink in and blur the background I created.

I created the striped background with the Postage Collage Coloring stencil and then cut it with an A2 Piercing Layers die cut. I love the little detail it adds along the edges.

The sentiment is from the Grateful Heart stamp set. The finishing touch is a sprinkle of black enamel dots from the Before Dawn pack that is entirely black.
