Christmas Bell

Today I'm playing along at Die Cut Divas Challenge where December is all about Christmas and Winter! Of course I'm playing along because die cuts are always my favorite!

This is the Christmas Bell Shaker from Pretty Pink Posh. I didn't use it as a shaker - I kept if solid die cut with inlaid pieces to make a bright golden bell.

I embellished the bell with pine, holly and berries also included in the bell die set. I cut the berries in shades of pink and red to add a little contrast and interest to the design. The bow is double cut and pairs perfectly with the berries.

The background of blue cardstock is made from cutting Stacked Edges borders and adhering them together. They fit together like puzzle pieces so the surface is flat. I have more than one set so I can cut lots at one time and always save the extras for other projects. I recommend using wax paper between your cardstock and the die when cutting these because the stitches don't always want to release your cardstock.
