CASE Study #173 - Celebrate

Happy January!  Its freezing here in the Midwest. My son was supposed to be back at school on Tuesday but every day there is a new message saying schools closed because of the dangerous roads and low temperatures.  We got hit with about 10" inches of snow and there's been lots wind causing drifting.  The hardest part is the bitter cold.  Even the dog doesn't want to go outside!  We've been doing some science experiments like blowing bubbles and throwing boiling water up in the air to watch it freeze before it hits the ground.  I know.. the things we do for fun in Indiana!!

It's a new month, and there is a new challenge at CASE Study this week. Our muse is the oh so clean and simple Donna Mikasa from Three Umbrellas blog.  You will probably recognize her from the Avery Elle design team!  Gotta tell you I think I'm going to learn lots this month.  Here's the inspiration photo for this week - so what do you see?  Lots of colors, a thank you card?  Letters?  Go with what moves you.  For me I loved the balance - the top heavy stamped portion and how it dwindled down to a clean message at the bottom.  I translated this into a neat and orderly top half that "fell apart" at the bottom - sort of like a jig saw puzzle - the top is complete, and the bottom is unfinished.

Ohhh! That is what I said when I saw this card Jeanne...so smart and I love how you stamped all the rows at top and got less and less toward the bottom just like the inspiration card. This is really clever and I would have killed to see you blowing bubbles in the freezing cold. Youtube would have loved that!

Get out of here with this design! Love what you created here. And this is why you are on so many DT!
I know it sounds way too cold by you. How fun to try all those things with the freezing temps.
