12 Kits of Occasions - Snow Day!

Hi and thanks for stopping by! It's the last day of the month and for me that means it's time to reveal what I made for The 12 Kits of Occasions! This month I'm the hostess with the mostest and I put together a snow day!

When selecting items for the kit I got to thinking about the magic of a snow day.. my own childhood racing down the big sled hill in the park, looking out the window for Suzy Snowflake, and nights when my own kids would go to bed with their clothes inside out. Did you know this is a ritual guaranteed to make snow fall and school be cancelled? Why does hot cocoa taste better when snow is falling? I still get that magical feeling watching snow fall, and when I leave the very first set of foot prints (or tire tracks) in a fresh blanket of snow.   I love watching the birds at the feeder - they're easy to spot in the snow!!  And finally why do I always LOSE MY GLOVES?
Here's a peek at the kit I put together.. stamped images from Pretty Pink Posh, Poppystamps, My Favorite Things, Neat and Tangled.. Snow & Cocoa Crate Paper, die cuts from Memory Box and more!

I invited a few friends to play too! I hope you'll stop by and say hi to them!

Cathy Weber - Empty Nest Crafter - an original member of "The 12 Kit's of Occasions" and the one who invited me to the group years ago has agreed to break her hiatus from paper crafting and join us this time!

Richard Breaks - That's MISTER Cardmaker to you! - I think he's absolutely fearless! Never afraid to alter and ink while I'm playing it safe! Richard's been my guest since my very first kit and I am so happy he keeps coming back for more!

And because we know the kit is more fun when YOU can play along too ... our lucky guest drawn from the comments on last month's post... Marcia Hill - Marcia's Stampin' Pad

Here's some cards I made with the kit!

Oh yes, I could not wait to see how you'd put your papers together. Just knew they'd be the BEST combo ever! Spectacular kit, Jeanne. You never disappoint. All so wonderful. Adore your cards. Brightness everywhere! Favorite? Don't laugh, but the pink moon, the way you assembled that card, LOVE!!! Crafty hugs, and thanks again!

Jeanne, I had to stop in to see how 'it's done' - no surprise: perfectly!!! and a fabulous kit!
I am so happy that I've saved my fairies, hoarded the plaid, and those darling MITTENS for another day!
However did you know there would be a Blood Moon today?
LOve times SIX!

Such fun and lovely, lovely cards Jeanne! I love how you used so much of the DSP on each of your cards...I am always so intimidated by it and look for the simpler and monochromatic color themed ones! But thanks to leftovers and FABULOUS inspiration from you, I can make some more colorful cards...YAY!! Thank you so much for inviting me to play along with all of you this month...this really was a wonderful kit and definitely brought back great memories of when I used to LOVE snow and snowdays!! Thank you, thank you!! :0)

Oh, Jeanne, you've made such gorgeous cards! You've given me the BEST idea with your moons, too! So BRILLIANT!
Just wonderful. Thanks so very much for including me once again. It was a real joy. Oh, and sorry about going up so late--I have no idea why blogger didn't put me up as scheduled....argh.

I love all your cards, Jeanne! What a fantastic kit you put together, and your cards really show the full effect of what you can do with it! I loved reading about your snowy memories as well. I didn't know that about wearing PJs inside out, but I'm not telling the kids - Ha!

I just knew I'd be blown away by your cards Jeanne! You included so many sweet design papers and you always put them together perfectly! I love how you used the calendar paper with the little snow fairies. So, so cute! And who didn't love a snow day off from school, right? Your kit brought back so many wonderful memories of my own childhood winters growing up in Maine. I could go on and on. But I'll spare you my reminiscing. ;0) That moon and vibrant background..... AMAZING!! Thank you so much for such a fun kit!

SO MANY GORGEOUS CARDS, Jeanne! THANK YOU for letting me know I won something! LOL I didn't see that yet! IF you could contact me through this e-mail, I can let you know my mailing address or whatever it was you needed. My e-mail system is a pain, & I can't contact people through their e-mails on their blogs even. THANK YOU JEANNE! (Maybe, that e-mail hasn't come through yet from the company post?) ;)

Jeanne, I couldn't wait to see what you made! Absolutely loved your kit but I was as usual stumped by all those wonderful patterns. You always use them like magic to create such amazing designs. Love every one!! Michele mentioned the blood moon. Is you pink card in honor of that? We were up early to watch the eclipse but no red color here as the sun was coming up so quickly. Thanks for a wonderful month and all the great inspiration! Luckily I have lots left to play with and hope to make more beauties.

I knew your cards would be over the top fabulous since you created this amazing kit! Love your sweet trio of fairies and your sweet blue bird basking in the winter sun shine. Your stunning pink snowfall with those gorgeous trees is so beautiful, can't wait to pull out all my left overs! Thank you again for the simply wonderful kit!

I knew you would not disappoint with a display of fabulousness! Each one as incredible as the next Jeanne. I LOVE what you've done with the fires and calendar, I still have them both!! The scene with the trees and the moon is perfection and spot on with the moon display they were calling for today!! Thank you thank you for an amazing kit. My leftovers will be put to good use after all of today's inspiration!!

First...thank you again for including me in this months kit Jeanne! What a treat not only as I played with the kit but now as I get to enjoy what everyone did with theirs. Once again your use of layers blew me away. I don't think anyone does it better than you. I loved those cute fairies paired with the intricate die cut and the calendar patterned paper. I also really loved the pink and white scene with the trees and the polar bear. Pink and white...my favorite! You knocked the first kit of the year out of the park my friend!

You my friend sent us such a fun kit this month! I loved every single elements that you lovingly stamped and die cut for it. Love the way you used the calendar paper as a background on your first card and so glad I still have it and the fairies, so prepare to be copy-CASEd! The sweet images from PPP, the pink sky behind your snowy trees, the bird and the bear and lets not forget the mittens that I also held back. Thank you so much!
