CASual Fridays & Imagine Crafts Blog Hop - Delicata Ink and Dynasty Coins

Hi and thanks for stopping by!  It's a great day for a visit because CASual Fridays and Imagine Crafts are having a joint blog hop featuring both products and showing how well they work together!   If you're hopping with us you should have reached me from Alison Heikkila's Blog.  If you'd like to start from the beginning and get all the details including the prizes that are up for grabs you can find them here at CAS-ual Fridays Blog or here at Imagine Crafts Blog.  Both design teams have lots to share!

The hardest part was deciding what products to use from Imagine Crafts.  They have so many neat products to choose from including metallic inks like the Delicata Gold I'm showing today, as well as Kaleidacolor multi color ink pads, Memento, Versafine, Versamark.. and so much more!
I water colored a panel with shades of Peeless purple and then stamped the 4 Petal flower from CASual Friday's Wallflower Stamp set repeatedly over the panel.  The Delicata Gold has incredible shine - the prettiest gold ink I've ever used, and have great coverage.  It was bold enough to stand up to the dark watercolor and looks so regal!
I didn't want to cover the pretty background panel so I chose a vertical sentiment from CASual Fridays Lovely Greetings set.  I stamped it in purple Versafine Imperial Purple ink
I stamped this sentiment from CASual Fridays Dream Then Do stamp set in Delicata Gold ink.  I wanted to show that it's bold enough to stamp a sentiment.  This shiny gold metalic ink can certainly hold it's own and lots of "WOW" factor here!
I saw these Ancient Dynasty Coins from Imagine Crafts and fell in love.  These are replicas of  Chinese coins and are inscriped with symbols for Prosperity and Enlightenment.  They come in two different sizes .. 3/4" and 1" diameter.  For card making I decided on the smaller size.  These are metal - like actual coins and excellent quality!

I made my background panel by embossing the large border from the CASual Friday's Tin Roof set with clear embossing powder and then painting it with Peerless Watercolors.

I love the shiny metallic sentiment with the metal coins peeking around the sides - I wish you could see this one in person!   A sprinkle of clear sequins bumps up the sparkle factor !
You're next stop on the hop is Neva Cole!  But before you go MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE A COMMENT!  Winners for the hop will be selected at random from the designer posts!   Leave a comment on all the blogs you visit for your chance to win 1 of the 2 amazing prizes up for grabs!!

Both cards are great.
Can't believe how nice that gold looks
on the first card. You would think you
had heat-embossed it.
The reds in the second card are pretty.
Love bright, bold colors.
