I know, "what's this?" a Christmas Card? Well um... Yeah! Haven't you heard of the Waltzingmouse Christmas Card Challenge? Waltzingmouse started the Christmas Card Challenge as a way to encourage us to work on our holiday cards a little bit every month so that when December hits we're not all in a panic. If you love Waltzingmouse stamps then you know that Christmas stamps are really the backbone of the company - there are so many great sets they are hard to choose from and the list gets even bigger every year. Check out the new badge Anya Schrier came up with for us! How cute is that?
These pretty poinsettia blooms are one of my favorite go to sets - it's just so relaxing to me to color - a flash back to my childhood I guess. If you can get past the original price of the Copics they really are a good investment - mostly because they are refillable. I can't tell you how happy I am when one runs dry that I don't have to go buy a new one - just refill it. They've come to the rescue for me a few times too - like on this one - I didn't have any yellow pearls for the flower center - so I just colored them!
Here's my finished card - and YAY! I even snuck a little washi in there. I keep buying it and I have firmly resolved to start using it more! I almost put a strip of lace where the washi is - but not enough would show and I know this one will be much easier to mail :) !! I sort of like that bit of sheet music peeking out too!
So dig those Holiday pattern papers back out!!! I hope you will give the Christmas Card Challenge a try - it really is a time saver come December - and so fun to see what everyone makes with all the different sets of Waltzingmouse stamps. It's a great way to get inspired and stay on track! It's a new year - new resolutions - why not make playing the WMCCC once a month one of your new goals? You won't regret it!

Gorgeous Jeanne, I love the layered poinsettia, and the fab papers.

What a beautiful card--I love that poinsettia flower, and the musical paper behind it. Good for you for getting an early start on Christmas.
Beautiful poinsettia Jeanne, a fabulous Christmas card.
Gorgeous!!!
This is ...as everyone says gorgeous! Love the layers and your fun square behind the poinsettia . Beautiful cluster of colored pearls too! It sure is great to just refill the Copics , too many times I have capped mine wrong. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend with your family .
Gorgeous Jeanne, I love Poinsetta's and colouring and I do have good intentions of getting Christmas cards done throughout the year.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Hugs Tracy x
That poinsettia is simply gorgeous! I just love all the pearls in the center, and that patterned paper really makes it pop :)
Jeanne, this is STUNNING! Such a wonderful color combo you've come up with~
What a lovely card! Thanks for your comment!
Oh, so pretty Jeanne. Love the layered poinsettia flower and the cluster of pearls.
Stunning! The layered poinsettia is amazing!
Oh, I'm jealous--one Christmas card already done! LOVE your gorgeous poinsettia! It really pops against the aqua background. And that die cut on the bottom is quite unique. It looks great with your patterned papers.
Aqua and red are a BIG fave of mine too Jeanne - this really is a gorgeous card and I love how you coloured the pretty pearls to your liking!
Jeanne, I love the chevrons in the background, and the flower is just glorious in that shade of red!
Such a big, beautiful, bold poinsettia! And I love that you can color those pearls, but I just can't seem to justify the cost of Copics. I guess I'll have to figure out another way to add that delicious color ;).
I love this card Jeanne, the poinsettia is beautiful and love how it's the focal point. I totally forgot about this challenge, thanks for reminding me.
I left you comment on the forum...
but I'll leave some lovin' for you here too...
it's gorgeous!!
You and those poinsettias were made for each other and I love it every time you use them! :)
I think I could color this one, it looks a little more doable for the amateur carmaker color person like me! I bet I am wrong, but I do like the powerful impact of the large poinsettia very much.
