Spellbinders Quick and Easy Card Club April 2023

With the new year comes a few changes to the kit. You might notice the price is about $10 less than last year. That's because the die kit and stamp set that were included in the past will no longer be in the kit. I think this is a good idea because honestly I never really used the stamps because there are so many sentiments in the kit. I will miss the die but for the savings it seems like a good trade off.

This kit has lots of pastel colors - think pink, soft green, baby blue and yellow. The prints are gingham, rainbow newsprint, hearts, plaid and floral. You get one sheet each of 20 different 6x6" printed papers to work with.

The images celebrate summer fresh fruits, picnic baskets, flowers, teapots and treats and there are two of each of the die cut printed images in the kit.

There's a puffy sticker sheet loaded with different sentiments to choose from - they look like label maker labels.

I used gingham to set out my picnic basket with cake and a radio to enjoy a day outdoors.

The kit includes a rainbow and clouds and even a sun shine because the weather is always just right in my sweet escapes to the craft room.

I paired this cute teapot with the morning paper, a strawberry tablecloth, and some yummy cake.

Organic Frame Birthday

Hi friends! Sending you some smiles today and playing along at Seize the Birthday Challenge where they're always looking for birthday cards. The optional topping this time is...

I can't resist adding some florals because they're what I miss the most this time of year. Come on TULIPS and DAFFODILS!!! LOL!

My card has lots of layers today. I started with a white panel that I die cut with the Waffle Flower Organic Frame. That's the top layer that looks like a wavy pond with some die cut leaves.

I layered that panel on top of a Ring Panel also cut from white cardstock. I trimmed both panels so that they were slightly smaller than the card base and lilac matt frame.

Next I added the sentiment cutting the background outline from vellum and the detailed word die from a darker shade of purple.

Finally I inlayed the colorful leaves and added more leaves, blowers and berries using the floral die included in the Organic Frame set. Half pearls are added to the flower centers for some sparkle and shine.

I love how this one turned out!

Floral Easter Egg

Are you counting down to Easter? It will be here before you know it! I'm hopeful that I can get the family together for a good home made meal. We're trying to see each other more often and time goes so fast!

Today I'm playing along with the mood board at We Dare You to Create A Smile Challenge. I spy lots of pastels and some yummy sweets and treats.

My card starts with the Waffle Flower Diagonal Stripes background panel cut from pastel shades. I cut the panel from each shade of cardstock so I have enough to make four backgrounds by alternating the colors.

I topped the panel with the Elegant Oval Frame cut from white cardstock. It's the perfect size for the new Spring Egg.

The Spring Egg die cuts images on an egg shape larger background. You can color the images with markers or use the coordinating stencil set to color in the images and bring them to life!

I topped the colorful colored egg with a "Happy Easter"sentiment from the Happy Easter Duo stamp set. The coordinating die does a fussy cut around the letters allowing the background layer to peek through.

I hope you find some time to play this weekend. It's my favorite way to relax!
