Fusion Card Challenge - Citrus Vine Thanks

Hi friends! Are you looking for a card challenge to play? A new one starts today at Fusion Card Challenge! You'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

I'm usually inspired by the inspiration photo, but I have to tell you this time all I see is a yellow door and honestly I dont have any door dies or stamps - maybe it's time to go shopping lol! But that's ok.. I am inspired by the yellow and white and the plants on the door step. If you're not feeling the photo or the colors, that's ok.. you can play along with the sketch!
I've been looking for an excuse to play with The Stamp Market Citrus Vine set. I inked up the lemons and greenery and arranged them on a Modern Motif die cut background.
This is a multi stamp set so you can build layers for added detail. I used Altenew inks for these because they're made for layering.
I added a simple sentiment strip across the juicy fruit - it's from the Greenery and Greetings stamp set.
Now it's your turn! Now it's your turn! Are you ready to play? I wonder how you will interpret the photo! Maybe you need a little more inspiration? Check out designs from the rest of the team. Just click on their names below to jump to their blogs.

Spellbinders September Large Die of The Month

Do you love die cuts? Then you need to check out the Spellbinders club kits. They have a monthly club kits that you can subscribe to for either a small die or large die. Every month you subscribe you'll receive a new die to play with. It's a good deal because the die sets are valued at a higher price than they sell for.
This is the September 2020 Small die of the month - it's $15
And this is the September 2020 Large die of the month $27.50

A third option is the VIP Value Club - You can bundle the club kits for a better price and this month they're giving you a special gift.. a confetti stamp set.
My card started with a distress ink block background. I used removable tape to create the squares. I inked them in with distress ink, and then stamped the confetti inside the blocks in coordinating ink colors.
I topped the panel with the yummy cake. I am always looking at the rainbow layer cakes and thought I'd try to recreate that on paper. I raised the section with the colorful stripes to add some dimension.
The die set comes with LOTS of accessories so you can personalize messages to the recipient in the layers. There's also a little candle, whipped cream, and little fruit pieces that will make your slice of cake even more tempting!
Not a big fan of surprises? That's ok.. you can wait until each kit is revealed on the first of every month and buy then. Me personally? I do love a surprise.. I haven't had a set yet that I didn't like and oh.. what a nice surprise just for me!! LOL!!

Chasing The Sun - Tropical Drinks

Can you believe it's Labor Day? That's always sort of marked the end of Summer for me. I remember being scolded at work for wearing white after labor day - how was I to know that was a fashion faux pas? And just like then I am going to fight the end of Summer for as long as I can.
So this year, I'm thinking why not grill out and YES! make some tropical drinks! I'll be throwing in some frozen strawberries or some fresh pineapple and tell myself it's healthy! LOL! I don't need much of an excuse for a frozen cocktail!
The Pretty Little Studio Chasing The Sun Collection is pure Summer time bliss. And that means Summer never has to end. As long as you have this collection close at hand you can take a sweet escape to your favorite tropical place.
I treasure time at home with family sharing a wonderful meal. Time goes fast and now more than ever I appreciate simpler things.
Have a great weekend and hold on to the good times!
