Sweet Wishes

Today I'm playing along at Make My Monday where this time it's all about birthday cards and please add at least one flower. That is an easy one since flowers are my favorite! This one is super sweet too!

These little honey bees from the Pink & Main Hey Honey! stamp set are sending you sweet birthday wishes! The set comes with the bee images as well as the florals and sentiment.

These were easy to stamp, color and cut! The best part is arranging! I love that little guy sitting cross legged on the flowers at the bottom!

Or is the little guy waving and holding the one bloom cuter? Ah heck! You decide! I love them both!

2025 Season Pass Fall/Holiday - November Edition

Hi Friends! I'm excited to share some cards made with the latest edition of the Layle By Mail Season Pass. The Season Pass 2.0... is a quarterly program/kit with exclusive products for memory keeping enthusiasts, including paper, die cuts, stickers & stamps. Perfect for traveler's notebooks, scrapbook pages, mini books, cards and more.

The kit includes 12 double sided papers 12x12", including a full sheet of monthly cut-apart cards in 3x4 and 4x6 sizes. You'll also receive an exclusive polymer stamp set, word strip sticker sheet, pre-printed die cut images and three rolls of washi tape in a reusable plastic mesh bag. The kit is available with (2) standard wide lined traveler’s notebook inserts (5" wide x 8.25" tall) or without. I'm a card maker so I opt to receive the kit without the notebooks.

From spooky October fun to the gratitude of November and the festive magic of December, everything in the Fall/Holiday Season Pass 2.0 is designed to help you capture the season’s most meaningful moments with ease and style. My focus today was creating four Fall/Thanksgiving themed cards.

Journaling card make great focal points for cards! Just embellish them with some of the die cut images or stack them like I did on my card below. The green plaid floral background is a large 4x6 card that I topped with a 3x4 card with a sentiment. The maple leaf is from another journaling card that I trimmed and then rounded the corners with a punch.

The trimmed maple leaf card is adhered with adhesive foam tape to add dimension and then topped with a "Fall" script sentiment. You can also fussy cut images from the journaling cards to add to your die cut stash.

The papers for fall include some beautiful florals that are perfectly color coordinated to match every element in the collection. You'll notice that the paper, die cuts and washi are beautiful together!

I love the iconic images like leaves, pinecones, and chrysanthemums in the set as well as the big sentiments and warm colors that leave you feeling comfy cozy. I incorporated some of the orange dot paper that I had left from my October cards made with this same kit and it blends in seamlessly.

You can add another layer of interest to your designs by adding word strip stickers and washi along seams where your prints meet.

Everything you need to make my cards is included in the kit. The only items I added are the card bases, solid cardstock matts and the adhesives to adhere them together.

2025 Season Pass Fall / Holiday

Round Stitched Bookmark

Today I've got something different to share! A stitched bookmark! I used to cross stitch all the time when I was younger. I confess that my eyes are just not as good as they used to be! I really wanted to try to make something with this die from Waffle Flower called the Stitchable Round Bookmark Die. I'm linking up to the Neglected Stuff Challenge because I have a box of cross stitch thread and honestly I can't even gander a guess at how old it is!

I followed the free pattern (keep reading for the link) but switched up the colors to use what I had on hand.

I selected the "You Are Loved" sentiment because you have to know you're loved if I spent the time it took stitching this for you LOL! Honestly it didn't take very long - probably about 3 hours, but still....

I added a plain pink Round Bookmark to cover the back side of the stitched piece and clean it up a bit. I got about 100 colorful tassels on Amazon for around $8 here.
