My Creative Scrapbook June Kit

This time I'm playing with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers and embellishments from Pink Fresh Studio "Fresh Start" Collection. You'll also find die cuts, stickers, and lots more! This collection relates to everyday life. You'll find images for your desktop including books, mugs, writing utensils, and arts supplies. There's also a little motivation for your mojo.. caffeinated mugs and coffee makers!

The paper prints are plaids, stripes, florals and hearts. They're mostly soft pastels with a bit of darker shades in complimentary colors. I found the prints really helpful for scene cards - like plaids for desktops and lighter prints for "wallpaper" backgrounds.

There are lots of sentiments in die cuts and stickers. I even cut a few sentiments from the printed paper to add to the designs.

Once your designs are laid out it's time for the embellishments. The collection has several round embellishments as well as different types of paper clips.

Everything you see on my cards is included in the kit EXCEPT for the white cardstock card bases, solid cardstock cover matts, adhesives and enamel dots. Things that you already probably have in your stash right now.

You'll have fun making cards or documenting memories with this kit. No matter what your style too. I love to make scene cards, but collage, mixed media, clean and simple, layered..... whatever your style you make this kit yours!

Layle By Mail Far & Wide Collection

Several times of year my mind starts turns to wanderlust and the pull to travel is hard to resist. It usually hits me in the Summer, when the kids are out of school, or perhaps when Winter just seems to be lasting too long! Sometimes it’s a call to see the mountains, smell the salty ocean air, or a need for a change of scenery.

The latest collection from Layle by Mail called Far and Wide is just the ticket! Whether you're jet setting to another country, hitting the road, or just spending a weekend in the city this paper collection has you covered.

The paper pack includes 12 double sided papers with lots of different prints including dots, stripes, maps, and script, as well as prints of luggage, stamps and travel signs.

And Layle has pulled out all the stops on this collection because there are so many different embellishments for layering and personalizing your adventures. I used Die Cut Icons that include mostly images (luggage, signs, cars, taxi's etc.), Die Cut Words & Phrases, and Die Cut Titles, as well as Wordstrip Stickers and Washi on my designs.

I like to use 3x4 journaling cards to create focal points for my designs. The paper pack has an entire sheet to choose from. Several have sentiments and images that you can incorporate into your designs.

I like to pair the images and sentiments to coordinate with the theme of the design. As an example I chose to use this tropical postcard together with a scenic stamp, floral print luggage, and passport to create this tropical escape themed card.

The washi in this collection is so much fun too! One roll is rainbow striped, and the other has arrival and departure letter tiles with different travel themed words like the "discover" on the above card.

I plan to use these cards to remind my friends and family to never stop exploring and to experience everything this great big beautiful world has to offer.

Waffle Flower June Release & Giveaway!!!

Well hello there! The wait is finally over! The latest Waffle Flower release that we're calling Green Thumb is officially available in the store! This release is all about the garden! There are several new Postage Collage stencil sets that you're going to love as well as cute garden gnomes!

My card today starts with the new Happy Herbs. I love that the resemble real herbs from the garden. I spy basil, mint, and parsley! I've got them all tucked in a plant with a little Plant Marker Sentiment saying "Hi There".

This cute little Happy Gnome is from a set of two - one large and one smaller little guy that is easy to assemble and personalize as you like.

I added some Garden Critters including a fun snail with silly eyes and a few butterflies.

The background dies are from previous releases Happy Circles white background, and Dashed Diamond Texture flooring.
