Anchored in Hope

I've been going through a rough patch lately. It's hard to take control when honestly it's all beyond my control. I have faith and get strength in knowing I'm not walking my path alone.
I'm blessed to have friends who are checking in and making sure I'm ok. I've received some cards in the mail that have really brightened my day. Just knowing someone is thinking of me has been very humbling.

My card today made with supplies from Waffle Flower is a reminder to stay strong and to never loose hope. The Floral Anchor die set includes the anchor and the florals you see on my design.
The background is a Cross Hatch Texture die cut that I lightly inked with Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac. I think it brings out the piercing detail on this cover plate.

The sentiment is from the Coastal Greetings stamp set that has lots of punny seaside sentiments. I'm linking up to the Word Power Design Challenge because I believe the message is the most important par of this card.
Thanks for always being so kind! You make my days better!

With You I Never Feel Lonely

Fall is in the air - things are getting busy in the garden again. It's time to clear away the leaves and dig up the bulbs to get ready for next year. Today I'm playing along at the Sisterhood of Crafters Blog where this time it's all about FALL!
I thought the scarecrows from the Pink & Main Field of Dreams would be perfect! I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored them with Copic markers and then cut cut them with the coordinating die set.

My cards always start the same, I arrange the images on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base. This makes it easy for me to slide different background behind the images to get a sneak peek of the finished card.

I decided on a simple Distress Oxide blended background. You can see how I extended the inks in an arch to meet the layout of the three scarecrows - the clear panel helped me see that a straight line of green ink didn't look right.
I hope you're smiling and that you get some time to play today!

A Friend

Hi Friend! Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Today I'm sharing a pretty floral card made with the Pretty Little Studio Love Is Kind Collection. This collection has the most beautiful florals ready to be arranged!
What I love about this collection is that even if you're new at papercrafting - mixing and matching prints or creating florals couldn't be easier. The background papers have a layered look, but they're actually one layer - printed with more than one design. I just added a journaling card for a focal point on this card.
The florals are super easy too. The die cut floral packs contain both single blooms or printed arrangements for you to choose from.
The best part is embellishing. I cut a sentiment from a journaling card, added some faux stitching with a clear sticker, and a double stacked butterfly. The finishing touch was a sprinkle of bling from my stash.
If you love pattern paper and all the trimmings you should check out Pretty Little Studio. They've got you covered for every occasion!

Layle By Mail Dear December

It's the most wonderful time of the year! The latest holiday release is available at Layle By Mail!
Meet the Dear December paper collection! The 12 x 12" paper pack includes 14 sheets of high quality double sided papers! You'll find beautiful prints of holly, ornaments, presents, florals stripes and lots more. The pages also include journaling cards for scrapbooking or making focal points on your card designs.
.
Journaling cards are great for creating focal points and are easy to embellish with the coordinating printed die cut images. Because they are usually solid background prints, they're great for breaking up the pattern papers so your cards don't get too busy.

The collection also includes die cut words, icons, numbers, and sentiments so you can embellish to your hearts content. I like to adhere them with adhesive foam tape to add some dimension to the design and make them stand out.
Washi and word strip stickers along the top and bottom edge add a little drama and another layer of interest.
You're not limited to the expressions printed on the journaling cards. This one had a sentiment along the top edge that I covered with a floral die cut.
This kit is designed to answer all of your holiday papercraft needs. You can document special events, make cards and tags, or even place cards for the holiday meal. I even have some extras left over for embellishing my calendar pages.
I love the whimsical images and traditional red and green prints. The fonts are a mix of retro to make you nostalgic and modern to keep it fresh!
Here's a sample of all four cards together so you can see the variety of designs I've made.

I hope you're smiling and feeling inspired to make some holiday magic of your own!  I'm linking up to Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge Blog and Rock Paper Scissors Challenge Blog.

Quick Foil Christmas Cards

If you love bling this post is for you! Today I'm sharing a pair of cards made with the Pink & Main "Home For Christmas" Foilables.

I've tried different hot foil methods and this is my favorite because it's a no fail technique. Additionally, if you have a toner printer you can make your own custom foilable pieces. The Pink & Main Foilable sheets are just toner printed on semi gloss paper. When topped with the Cheerfoil of your choice and run through the Minc laminator the results are flawless. I've never had a single panel that was missing pieces.
And if you have your own toner printer (I bought one on Amazon for a little over $100) you can print your own foilable sheets. I love all the choices of foil colors and patterns available.

My cards today are topped with sentiments from the Pink & Main "Hand Lettered Holiday Greetings" package. The pack has A WHOLE LOT of different sentiments for holiday designs.

I added the sentiments with adhesive foam tape so they are raised from the flat background making them look a little fussier. The finishing touch on just the white background panel was a sprinkle of red gems.

I'm linking to the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown where this time they're looking for QUICK cards!
