Cloud 9 February Blog Hop - Cupids Arrow

What a busy weekend!  On top of being sick I helped out with the Boy Scout candy sale (behind every good man there is a good woman).   Don't ask me how many bars we have left to sell because it will only depress me.  I just hope I can refrain from starting a one a day habit to help them disappear.

I'm getting a late jump on the Cloud9 Blog Hop - I had to whip up something quick - entries end in less than 24 hours!!!.  After seeing the inspiration photo - which was beautiful, and all the design team examples which were even more beautiful I was starting to think I better just forget about it.  Thank goodness everything just fell into place perfectly.  I figured if I could come up with something before my son got home from school I'd be gold!  All the stars were aligned!!!   I just bought these cute striped bags at Amazon.com a week ago thinking I would do something for Valentines day - not knowing what - and then I saw that fab striped background in the inspiration photo - light bulb moment.  I just got my stamps from the new release, and I have more than a few candy bars just for this photo shoot :)  TIme to get to work!!
I inserted a piece of card stock inside the bag because it is thin and I wanted to have some support to build on.  It also helps keep the contents a secret.  I made a simple belly band using the new Chantilly Trim with the border die cut and then added embellishments from different sets including I Quite Like, Cupids Arrow, and the Seasonal Sentiments Die.  It's wonderful that everything works together beautifully!

Here's what the bag looks laying flat - filled with some yummy candy bars from a Chicago favorite Fannie May.
I hope you have a beautiful day!  Thanks for having a look - I really need to get caught up and see what you all have been up to while I've been laying around in bed!

Hugs!
Jeanne

I always love it when you use that little cupid Jeanne! It looks adorable on the pink striped bag with the pretty stamped trim. You even added some flowers and a bow and a little heart gem on the love sentiment! Very cute card!

What a fun color and treat bag. Glad you are feeling better. You better not eat all those candy bars, I would if they were in my house.
Most of getting a treat from you is in the package and not the treat itself.
Looks like is missed this challenge.

Well look at this cutie, cutie! Those pink striped bags were quite the fabulous find! Love it all decorated up. I need to bust out my 'love' die - this is too fabulous, I need to put it to use! Glad to see you joining us at Cloud9!

Love all your new goodies... I have to wait 'cause I've purchased a few things lately!! Ahh.. Fanny May... always a big treat when I lived in IN.. no presence in the South- believe it or not my sis can make caramels as good as or better!! And, yes, it may be time to bring out the pod- although my WMS Blog card will be a bit busy!!

Sorry you're feeling pinky. Sometimes desperation is a great motivator for quick action and wonderful inspiration. It certainly worked this time. TFS
