RR44 - Winter Wonderland

Hi!  IHope you're doing good and ready to get playing some challenges in the new year!  And if you love pretty ribbons, flowers and trims the Ribbon Reel Challenge is just the place for you!  There is always a gorgeous photo to get you inspired as well as samples from the design team and this week is no exception.   This one was hand picked by Debbie Marcinkiewicz from Simple Treasures!   You should use the photo for inspiration and include a snowman, snowflake as well as some ribbon,  twine and trims.

That snowman is adorable!  I wanted to use a snowman that had a carrot nose like the one in the photo.  It didn't take too long to find since I am in a winter mood lately - still not much snow here in the Midwest so we aren't sick of it yet!  I die cut just the face of the snowman and layered it on a fancy die cut snowflake.  The sentiment is stamped on pattern paper and then layered on a slightly larger die cut that has been embossed and then inked up with distress ink.   I tied on a little button twine and a bitty button.
I layered the satin cut snowflakes on top of  burgundy satin so they would stand out more.
Check out what the rest of the design team came up with for this challenge - it's sure to be nothing short of amazing!  Just click on their names below to hop to their blog!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Jeanne

I usually think of snowmen as cute Jeanne...but your snowman is actually elegant! The addition of the beautiful quote and the black/white of the snowman really gives an grown up feel to an image I usually just think of as sweet and adorable. Very pretty card.

Still not much snow?! You must have been spared when the blizzard hit the day after Christmas. My parents got 12 inches, which is very unusual for them in southern IN. I'm sure you'll get plenty eventually, just like us here in MA. :)
I adore that sweet snowman's face and how you highlighted it by framing him with the snowflake. And that chevron paper! Gorgeous.
