Fall Corners Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is only a few short days away and I hope each and every one of you has plans to be with at least one person that is important to you. I'm thankful for so much this year.. I'm grateful that my Dad is back at home with Mom where he belongs. He's got a long road back to recovery - and getting back on his feet literally.

My card today starts with a Distress Oxide background in shades of fall foliage with a touch of purple. I couldn't resist adding it next to the orange.

Next I added two Scallop Frames - this die set is exclusive to the Pretty Pink Posh Shop. In the center I added a Scallop Circle Tag stamped with a sentiment from the Autumn Leaf Wreath stamp set.

A few half back pearls in lilac and pansy perfectly compliment the purple in the colored leaves and ink blended background.

My Creative Scrapbook November Main Kit

This time I'm working with the November Creative Kit. This kit includes die cuts, stickers, and premium 12" papers from Echo Park's "Fall Forever" Collection. There's Creative Embellishments Autumn wood die cuts too! I love that every month there are collections from my favorite brands and that the papers are original weight designer papers - no thin paper here!

Cutting a few waves in pattern paper makes fabulous hilly landscapes. The large tree in the set pares nicely with the house and a circle sentiment that says "hello fall" makes a sun in the sky!

This kit includes beautiful fall papers in autumn leaf colors. The images are of pumpkins, leaves, gourds and a little home sweet home too!

There are lots of sentiments in this set. Adding one of the sentiments to a frame and a few embellishments and cards come together quick!

I love the chipboard frames in the kit that are perfect for creating focal points, shakers and frames for outdoor scenes.

Fall is really my favorite time of year and this kit just makes me happy!

The papers are really pretty too - florals and plaids that pair well with the more solid prints and add contrast. The only things I added to this kit are the gold enamel dots, washi, card bases and solid cardstock mats, and adhesives.

Bring It On!

Fall always makes me think about school sports season. I learned everything I know about sports from following my son through his participation in school sports beginning with cross country in the fall, then basketball, and finally track in the spring. My daughter played volleyball too.

Getting involved in sports gave me a new appreciation for cheerleaders and how important it is to motivate the team with positive encouragement.

This set from Waffle Flower is adorable. I love that you can personalize the girls with team colors and skintones. The clean line drawings are easy to color and the girls are so cute!

I die cut the images and layered them over a Sunburst Panel that I colored in the same team colors - blue and gold - in a lighter shade of Distress Ink.

The images are mostly flat on the card base. The girls in the front are adhered with adhesive foam tape to add some dimension.
