Spellbinders Simply Perfect Collection - Perfect Congrats

I hope you're having a great day! Have you noticed? I'm really into flowers lately! LOL!! They're always my favorite....especially when I don't have the real things.. I can mix and match, building bouquets in just about every color I can imagine.

Today I'm playing with Spellbinders Layered Blooms! They're so pretty and have oh so many possibilities. The die cut set includes ALL of these flower combinations and MORE!

I cut my flowers in citrus colors.. lemon, tangerine and grapefruit and stacked them. I had fun arranging them after I had them all assembled.

For a sentiment I double cut the Congrats from Mix and Match Sentiments from light blue and gold glitter paper. I stacked the die cuts so that the gold peeks out from underneath the top layer.

Waffle Flower Challenge - Travel Around the World!

Do you love Waffle Flower? I know you do! They have the cutest stamps, and die cuts. Did you know they have a new challenge? I'm the hostess on the third week of every month and this time I'm challenging you to join me on a trip around the world!

I've invited two friends to play along to help inspire you! Say hi to Michele Ferguson and Crystal Komara! They're both fabulous designers and their projects will make you smile.

My favorite travel sets at Waffle Flower are from Illustrator Kamo. You'll find stamps with cities from around the world including France, England, Mexico, China, Japan and more.

The sets include fabulous landmarks - the Japan set I used features the Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Samurai, Aikido, Ninja and a Geisha! The other sets have just as many wonderful identifiable details. The sentiments are in the foreign language and translated in English underneath.

I arranged the images on a distress oxide ink background. Some of the images are adhered flat while others are adhered with adhesive foam tape. This adds dimension and helps bring the scene to life.

The Slimline Window Trio makes it easy to arrange a little scene inside each of the three windows. I inked the windows in different shades of distress oxide ink.

It's a Happy Day!

Oh Happy Day! Today I'm sharing a cute scene featuring the Waffle Flower Happy Day stamp and die combo. Yes! Maybe you recognize this set? It's older but it's had a bit of a revamp. The stamp images are all the same but the die cut now has more details - check out the spokes on the bicycle wheel.

I wanted to use ALL of the images in the stamp set, but in the past that was a little difficult because the bear with the wagon can get a little long. My solution? A SLIMLINE Card!

I die cut the largest stitched rectangle from the Slim Lacy Layers set from white card stock and then inked it with Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron. I added a little darker shade along the edges - Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn.

A splatter of water, some watered down Salty Ocean and some white ink add lots of dimension to the inky panel.

I adhered some of the images with adhesive foam tape while others are adhered flat to the inky panel. This adds dimension and helps bring the scene to life.
