Flower Garden

I love all the fall color but I have to say that I'm really going to miss all the flowers in my garden. I was happy to see this challenge at Just Add Ink!

I'm going to have to create my own flower garden in my craft room! These Cosmos in assorted colors seem like just the ticket to a sunny day!

I always arrange images on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base. It helps me figure out what's going where and what color background is going to be "just right" before I commit and adhere everything in place.

I inked the Cosmos with Copic Markers and then layered them over a Fancy Frame. I cut the center from the frame with a rectangle die and then layered the open frame over a Holiday Stripes background die.

If you look close you'll see I added some inlay pieces to the cut outs on the frame. The gold accents and sequins pair beautifully with the Subsentiments hot foil sentiment.

I adhered the florals with adhesive foam tape, and the leaves are glued flat to the card base. This adds dimension to the design.
