The Library Challenge - Every challenge they feature a new book. You can make something based on the Cover, the Title or the Story.
This time the featured book is Memoirs of a Geisha. This is one of my favorite books. If you're not a reader and love a historical romance you should check out the movie. It's beautifully filmed and it's easy to get lost in the story as told by a Sayuri the Geisha.
I chose to work with Pretty Pink Posh Cherry Blossoms. The cherry blossoms are a recurring theme. The Lesson of the Cherry Blossom is that we must not expect happiness, it is not something we deserve. When life goes well, it is a sudden gift; it cannot last forever!
Spring has not arrived in my part of the world.... it was actually snowing yesterday! When the blossoms on the trees appear I will be happy to see them!
I arranged die cut Cherry Blossoms and Leaves inside a die cut Scallop Circle. The leaves are adhered flat to the card base. The blossoms are raised with adhesive foam tape. They were stamped with Memento Ink and colored with Copic Markers.
I stamped the sentiment a little higher than I wanted to. No worries.. a bit of dark washi tape adds some weight to the bottom of the card to make it look intentional.
Have a great day! I hope you find some time to do what you love best!

Love your cherry blossoms! I kept thinking about them as I made my card and I love seeing someone else was as well.
