I'm loving all the new collections in the Pretty Little Studio store! Today I'm playing with the new Blooming Hearts Collection! The collection is a fun mix of brights and pastels with black accents thrown in for more drama! Its fun and fresh with geometric prints like triangles and diamonds, with some pretty florals too!
See what I mean? Who knew pastels and brights could be so happy together? I started with a mix of background paper prints and topped that with a 3x4" Pocket Card from the "Our Story" pack.
I created a focal point using the Picture Perfect frame topped with Blooming die cut flowers. There are so many pretty flowers and fronds in the pack you're going to have a hard time deciding which ones you want to use! I love how the journaling card pattern peeks through the open frame. I added half of a 4" Cambridge Doily under the journaling card because I love the lacy look with the flowers. It also helps soften some of the hard lines created in the patterns and layering. TIP: Using only half the doily helps stretch your craft supplies! Save the other half for another project!
I added a tab at the top and a yellow "you are awesome" circle die cut (both from Picture Perfect die pack), and a sentiment from the I Heart You die pack. The bright yellow color is repeated throughout the design.
A little sparkle and shine is all this one needs! I added some Gift Wrap Red sequins, and 4mm Crystal.
