Hi and thanks for stopping by! I can't believe it's Friday already! My week has really flown! I had my implant surgery on Monday and I'm still feeling very tired. I'm feeling really lazy this week and having a hard time doing much of anything.. by noon I feel ready for a nap! I see the doctor again on Monday - I'm hopeful that I feel like myself by then!
If you saw my recent haul from Tupelo Designs LLC then you know I have more than enough to keep me busy for a while. I find crafting a marvelous distraction right now - something to loose myself in.
I've been playing with my new Stamp Perfect tool. It's wonderful for making multiple cards and was much less expensive than the "other brand".
Making multiples doesn't mean they all have to be the same though. I stamped and embossed the Neat and Tangled Heart of Gold on several sheets of Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper. I though this would be the perfect image to try different techniques coloring.

In the end I had more fun just water coloring! Lately I've been using Ranger Distress reinkers in a palette and applying them with a water brush. The colors are bold and vibrant, and because they are already in liquid form they are easy to apply and blend.
I used a Royal Langnickel fine detail brush that is in a 3-pack that you can find in the store. Since my image is embossed it's easy to keep the colors separated if you choose to.
For the monochrome hearts I colored the entire heart in one shade of ink - on this card worn lipstick and then dropped in Barn Door in only some of the areas. Since they are already wet from the light pink watercolor the little touch of ink blooms inside each triangle.
I love this sentiment and think these will make beautiful thank you cards!
Feel like you need a little TLC too and maybe want to go shopping? I hope you'll give Tupelo Designs LLC a chance. They have all the brands you love, and free shipping every day with no coupon required (USA only). What could be better than that? How about reward points that turn into dollars off your next purchase?

Wonderful cards Jeanne! The one with all of the colors reminds me of a kaleidoscope!
Pretty colors and embossing!
These look like such fun to make! Love the gold and all the gorgeous colors!
Oh no! I didn't realize that you've been a tad under-the-weather with the dental surgery! Sending hugs galore - the big squishy variety - that you're feeling much better! Your gold embossed, colourful hearts...smitten with and crushing over every one! So beautiful! I "think" this set may reside in my collection; you've sparked a DT idea! Thank you!
Hugs~c
