It's Day 2 of the new release peeks at CAS-ual Fridays! We're showing projects made with the new release January 1-4. All the new products hit the store on Saturday (January 4)! There's 8 new stamp sets to share! Today we're showing projects made with Peace Out and Flower Power!
Peace Out has a fun peace sign stamp made completely out of flowers! There is also a large flower filled "peace" word stamp and the Peace Love & Happiness sentiment used on the above card!
I embossed the peace sign with clear embossing powder on watercolor paper before adding vibrant rainbow colors. I admit this took me a few tries - it was hard to keep the colors clean and not muddy them up when they're touching on more than two sides.
The sentiment is a really fun font - look close and you'll see little hearts in all the letter openings !
Who doesn't think the world could use a little more peace in it right now? Don't even get me started!
The second set we're showing today is Flower Power!
Flower Power includes several word images created entirely of flowers! You can mix up the words to make different sentiments or use them for journaling.
I stamped "thank you" with Memento ink and then loosely colored the flowers in orange, pink, yellow and red.
We're saving that pretty floral background for Saturday - it's Full On Floral that I embossed with clear embossing powder and distressed. If you look close you'll see little gems in the yellow flower centers. You know I love my bling!
