Wow this week is flying! I can't believe it's Thursday already! Are you getting ready for the weekend? No big plans here. DH will be working on some car repairs. I might pop over to my folks house with Miss Moriko. We've been cooped up too long. I miss walking. I don't mind the cold, its the fact that most people don't shovel their walks. I want to get a little exercise, not break a leg. And if I walk in the street the salt hurts Moriko's feet. I suppose that's one of the things I like about crafting. It keeps my mind busy and I'm surrounded by beautiful things.
The inspiration at Fusion Card Challenge is gorgeous this time! This one is called "Pretty In Pink". I picked up on the pretty colors and texture of the pillows. I embossed the pretty flower with white embossing powder on pink paper. You can't go wrong with lots of pretty die cuts as accents.
It's still me here.. so a splash of gold (I need my bling) does my heart good. A few gold foil die cut fronds, and some gold enamel dots. They look like shiny water drops!
One more photo - just because this one is so pretty!! LOL! I added some Twinery Blossom twine across the bottom - this is my favorite way of tying it lately - three rows with the bow in the center. It still amazes me that when I started making cards I thought this top fold style was weird. All my older cards have a side fold. Now it's just about all I use - and so easy to wrap that twine around the entire front flap of the card. If you ever want a laugh - go to my "archive" and look at "the beginning".
Need a little inspiration? Check out lots of beautiful designs from the DT...
Now it's your turn! I hope I see you at FUSION Card Challenge!

Your pinks and gold look so pretty against the blue background Jeanne - love the foliage and pretty dots! The only issue I have with top folded cards is that if people display them for any length of time (which hopefully they do after we spent so much time making them!!) - they tend to slide open flat! (I've found that anyway!)
Gorgeous layering and love the touches of gold x
Can't wait to play along! This is an outstanding card! Beautifully composed and I love the layers. It has been too cold for me to walk outside...hoping the snow goes away soon!
Jeanne, what a FABULOUS card!!!! I'm amazed at how lovely all the patterns and textures look together!! This is a work of art!! xx
Another masterpiece of layers Jeanne! I like the gold you added, so pretty!
GORGEOUS!!!
We've been out of town again, where it was freezing. It's warmer here but I'm just anxious to spend some time at home. I got so behind with visiting blogs and haven't spent a minute doing any crafting. This challenge photo is so pretty and I love your card. Adore all the wonderful layering! Black & white with soft pink is so wonderful and the accents of gold make it even more gorgeous!
Hello Jeanne,
I totally get that you would not want to slip on the snow. In some towns there are laws that the sidewalks have to be shovelled. I hope you do get out for a walk though, it's always refreshing to get some fresh air.
Your card is just lovely!!! I especially like your gold foil leaves.
Isn't tying twine fun? I also have an entire collection of crochet cotton - it makes LOVELY twine PLUS it ties like nobody's business! (And it's WAY inexpensive, specially if you pick it up at thrifts and yard sales)
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Beyond gorgeous Jeanne and I need to get that stamp!
love love love your card. :)
I think we all can probably say that about our "beginning" ;). This is beautiful, Jeanne! Such a gorgeous palette, and so many delicious details! Stunning!
This is beautiful! Love that flower and I adore the fonts on that sentiment!
The touches of gold are fantastic.
You've translated the inspiration photo into a gorgeous card. That flower...those gold leaves...the pink and navy...swooning!
Hugs~c
