Welcome to our first edition of the 12 Kits of the Holidays. Big changes for us this year. A few good friends left us to focus on other commitments (Cathy Weber Empty Nest Crafter and Suzanne Dahlberg The Card Yard) and some new friends joined us to make an even 12 (Lynn Mercurio and Tracey McNeeley) Last year The 12 kits of Christmas made so many Holiday and Christmas Cards that we decided to do something a little different this year. Instead of 12 months of Christmas or Winter Greetings we decided to break it up with a few other holidays.
Here's how it works... there are 12 designers each assigned one month of the year. The hostess of the month creates a "kit" to send to the other 11 members. We all receive the same kit to work with and post our creations on the last day of the month. It's fun and interesting to see the different ways we all use the same supplies. This month we're celebrating Valentine's Day and our hostess is Joyce from Cards by the Sea. Joyce gave us pretty paper from My Mind's Eye, and lots of die cut sentiments and shapes. Joyce is famous for cards that come together by themselves - and I think her kit shows us all exactly why! Everything was perfectly coordinated in soft blue, pink, and red, with lots of die cut images and so easy to assemble. Just check out the photo of all the goodies!
Now for the fun part - showing you everything I put together with this fun kit. I will name each card so you can identify all the ingredients at the bottom of my post.
Be Mine
LOVE
Hugs & Kisses
Now just hop on over to the rest of the ladies sites to see what they made with the same kit - you will flip when you see all the different directions they take this - I know I am always amazed and wind up asking myself "why didn't I think of that?"
Just click on their names below - I've got them listed by month so you can see what's ahead!

Jeanne, your cards are amazing this month! So much beautiful detail and I love your sweet little touch of bling on them as well. Simply beautiful!
Gorgeous cards, Jeanne! And I'm just lovin' how much Wplus9 I see! Too fun!
Jeanne--what a fabulous set of cards you made. I love that they are so 'you'. Lots of color and layers and something new to see every time I look again. Your ribbon flags are such a sweet touch.
Be Mine and Ticket To Love are my favorites! Love that they each got thier own names!!
Oh, you did the Piestra Tile on red too! I love it done with red and your single heart is so striking. It's always fun to see your wonderful CAS designs! The subway sentiment in black looks fantastic with your gorgeous die cut & bow. And I always adore your layered cards. The last two are so pretty with all the details & trim.
Gorgeous...
as always!!
You constantly amaze me how you mix your papers and layer...
all your little extra elements...
and your bows have to be the most stunning bows out there!! :)
I love them all...
but I always do! :)
Holy cow Jeanne, all of your cards are gorgeous. Your first card is wonderful with the piestra die (I need to buy it now), love that amazing frame and BOW (teach me to tie like that, the sweet banners and how you use the camera die cut--swoon.
I love all of your cards and you will probably be mad at me, but your CAS Be Mine card is my favorite! I just love that die and the red behind it. I like how you added the little gems to your heart and the white on white sentiment. I am really loving banners too these days and I love those cute banners with the Hugs and Kisses sentiment. Did you stamp those flowers or is that part of the patterned paper? Either way, just a beautiful card.
Hi , sorry I am so late, gone most of the day. Gorgeous cards and loved your post full of information. I am always lacking in that department. Your first one BE MINE is simply stunning I love that it is bold yet so CAS. Your ticket to love is adorable and I love the soft beautiful bow you added to it. This was so fun and easy to work with.
I just love your style and how you always use the embellishments in all the right places! I can not tell you how much I LOVE LOVE the last card.....this is a true Jeanne card!!! Gorgeous layers and stunning bow!!! I could never have pulled this off!!! Fabulous job!!!
These are all so stunning, Jeanne! You make me look at my supplies and just wish they would assemble themselves into such perfect arrangements. Of course I love your first CAS card, but the layering on the other three is gorgeous. I'm especially smitten with that last one and the beautiful aqua ribbon!
Beautiful, just gorgeous!!! The last one is an absolute STUNNER!!! And then the one before it is my second favorite...oh man what beauty in your cards this month Jeanne :)
GASP...you've covered it all, CAS, sweet, elegant. There is no style that you cannot do, Jeanne Jachna! I think my fave is the chevron card and I'll give you 2 guesses why. Okay, I'll give you a hint...May Arts.....you guessed it!
Seriously? No one does Valentine's Day like you do!!!! You amaze me every...single...time. And please, don't ever say you can't do CAS, because I see that first card! Amazing!!! :)
