To My Sweet Friend

It rained all night and WOW! was Miss Moriko not happy with that! She hates thunder! I woke up to wet sidewalks and a few small branches as evidence. But now the sun is shining and I'll be looking for rainbows when I hit the park for our morning walk.

Today I'm playing along with the sketch challenge at Try Stampin on Tuesday.

Instead of a rectangle "filmstrip" die I chose a heart trio die cut from Waffle Flower's Windows Trio 2 die. There are three different sets available all with different shapes.

The die cuts all three hearts from a strip of cardstock all at the same time and leaves a stitched outline pattern along the die cut windows edge.

To make this a little fancier I die cut a scallop slimline die and cut the edges off and added them behind the heart panel. The heart panel was then set over a die cut rainbow strip panel. The die cuts lots of strips all at one time so I have lots left over for other projects. I actually used all left overs on the above card.

All that was left was to add some sentiment strips inside the die cut windows and oh yes! A sprinkle of shiny enamel dots.

Waffle Flower September Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Waffle Flower September Release Blog Hop! This month we're celebrating the upcoming holiday season - Yep!  Christmas!!!  I'm happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you this release! I've got lots to show you so let's get started!  This is the new Under the Tree stamp set.  And wow! It has so many little accessory stamps so that everyone gets exactly what they want under the tree, including the pets!  Check out that die in the bottom left that cuts 9 little images all at one time!  What a time saver!

This is the new Folk Art Frame Stencil and Die set. First you ink the stencil design, and then you use the coordinating die to cut the entire frame or just the center like I did on my shaker card above. 

For this card I made a one layer design not using the die cut so you could see how pretty it is smooth and flat.  I added a sentiment from the Merry Christmas Script and Print die set.   There is an out line die with this sentiment I just didn't use it on my design. 

This is the new Folk Art Background that also comes with a coordinating stencil.  I topped it with a piece of vellum to create a subtle shaker and then some new dies - The Beaded Wreath and Folk Art Flowers.

The Two Step Chevron Stencil makes a pretty background (above and below).  This card features the Folk Art Reindeer and a Triangle Tree that you can add foil branches to. 

There's even a new tree shaker in town!! You can decorate the tree with the coordinating string of light bulbs and then fill it as you like.  I used colorful round beads and topped it with the star die that's included with the tree. 

The Pop Up Tree background die has a coordinating stencil so you can ink the trees.  I added dots of color with a marker to help fill the background with more color.  I topped the background with another vellum shaker (it's completely flat) and the new Folk Art Tree die. 

Ah.. the finale!  I didn't want to leave you without a Halloween card!  This one features a cloudy sky using the cloud stencil from the store and the Boo! (bear and bats) and sentiment from the Happy Halloween mini stamp sets!
