Sketched Chrysanthemum

Today I'm playing along at Beautiful Blossoms Challenge where this time it's Anything Goes with an optional mood board...

This is a beautiful inspiration with lots of fall color. I love the orange and yellow with the slate and navy blues.

My card features the Sketched Chrysanthemum From Waffle Flower. It's easy to color with the coordinating stencil set or your favorite media.

I paired my floral with an Oversized Postage die cut. I added a background panel created with Lindy's Gang Magicals. I'm a little late jumping on board this trend, but now that I've tried them I am addicted!

I had to debate how I would get the postage stamps on the die / watercolor background image and finally decided to stamp on clear acrylic with Staz On black ink.

To attach the clear cover without adhesive showing was the next trick. I decided on a frame to secure it in place.

Pretty Pink Posh September Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

It's a great day for a visit! It's the third and final day of the Pretty Pink Posh September Release Blog Hop! If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Dana Kirby's blog. I'm all about the dies and every release Pretty Pink Posh brings them! This time you'll find new fall shakers, stamps, die cuts and so much more. I'm smitten with the new Big Fall Cupcake die that can be configured in lots of different arrangements.

There are LOTS of different dies in this set! I love that they're not limited to embellishing the cupcake - they're a great size for cardmaking, place tags, or journaling even without the cupcake base.

I arranged all of my die cut pieces on a piece of plastic the size of my card base. This allows me to rearrange all the pieces until I'm happy. I used up lots of scraps cutting the different pieces.

The background is the Pierced Leafy Vines Cover plate topped with an Eyelet Circle as a little "plate" or "doily" for the cupcake.
