ISSC 32- Celebrate Your Day!

Hi everybody!  Hope you are off to a great new week!  I'm feeling so productive lately.... so far today I've done two loads of laundry and made some peanut butter cookies (and I managed not to eat most of them for lunch!!).  Today I'm playing with the sketch challenge from I Spy.  I saw the design and couldn't resist playing!

I made a birthday card with some new paper I picked up last week.  I'm really lovin the 6x6 pads lately - the smaller print and price tag make them easy to work with and afford.  I've been seeing more from some of my favorite brands too!

Here's some close up shots of the birthday card I made...
The square are easy to cut on your paper trimmer - no die required!  I added glue to the edges of my flower with a cotton swab and then poured on the glitter!  I inked the edges on the leaves with Antique Linen for a vintage look.
 Here's the finished card...
I hope you're getting things done too and that you find a little time to play today!

Hugs!
Jeanne

Beautiful colours and great use of the sketch! The rolled rose is beautiful and I love how you have added some sparkle to the outer petals. Thanks for playing along at iSpy!

That rose is so amazing--love how realistic it looks! Such pretty patterned paper too. The patterned leaves look fabulous and I love that you added those little gems on your sentiment tag! I forgot to tell you that I saw FIVE Akitas being boarded where we do agility classes. Two adults and three puppies, probably about 4-5 months old. They were all so beautifully marked and SO gorgeous!

I agree with Sharron, that rose is so pretty! I love that you used the same patterned paper on the bird and as the mat for the squares. This is such a nice card, I think I need to start making 5 x 7's so I have more room for embellishments.
