Graduation - Launch Your Dreams!

My mom knows I love making cards.  She asked me to make this one for a graduation party she is going to.  My cousin's son just graduated from Eastern Illinois University.  I wanted to make a fun card for a young man so I consulted my 16 year old on a few of the details to help me get it just right.   To personalize it just for Michael,  I made this one in his school colors of navy and pewter.   I cut and pasted his school logo in word and then die cut it in a circle to match the retro bubbles stamp I used.

I don't normally finish the inside of a card.  I usually write a hand written message on the inside.  I know my mom would prefer to just sign her name so I finished off the inside for her.   I almost re stamped the bubbles for a cleaner look, but I decided the distressed had a little edgier feel.  Here's what it looks like.  Thanks for having a peek!  Have a beautiful day.

Completely edgy and new age. I really dig the design of this and the fact that you matched the inside up too. It's a FANTASTIC card Jeanne. :) Congrats to the grad!

Tell your son it looks like he was a great help, because I think this is just perfect , for a young man. Great idea to get the logo from word. I think its so sweet that your mom asked you to make her card rather than buy one herself. Wonderful card Jeanne. I am not implying you need much help, though :)

This is totally great for a young man...that free spirit set is very modern looking. I like how you created the school logo and incorporated it into the free spirit design. It was so thoughtful of you to finish the inside for your mom. Great card!

Wow--what a fun and masculine card. I've never seen this stamp set. It does embody what I think of as 'young man' How exciting to be graduating from college and just starting out. Super job on the inside, too.

OMG, your card is just awesome! It's the perfect design for a young man. Cards like that are so difficult, at least for me, and you did a super job! Incorporating the school logo in your design was such a cool idea. Love the look of the whole card!

Jeanne this is absolutely perfect for a young graduate - bet he doesn't get another one like this! It's so wonderful the way you used these gorgeous stamps and then adding the navy & pewter and the School logo - your son got it absolutely spot on & so did you my lovely, modern classic I'd say!
