Book Review

I hope you're having a great day! This time of year when it's cold outside I think about ways to keep busy indoors. When I'm not papercrafting, I'm always happy to settle on a seat by the window and get lost in a great book.

This card starts with patterned paper with rainbows and scallops that remind me of bookshelves. I topped that with a 3x4" Plot Twist journaling card.

I embellished the Book Review card with a great big sentiment and label saying "This Book was..." thinking I'd write "TERRIFIC" in the little label and then gift this card with the book I'm reviewing.

I added a few bright colored sequins to add a little more color to the design, and add a little more color.

I'm always recommending books I love to family and friends. I know this cute little review and the gift of a book will be well received!

I can't believe how fast fall went by! It's cold outside!! I'm still walking the dog every morning but I'm bundled up like the marshmallow man! The decorating is coming along slowly and not one Christmas card has been mailed!

I'm still making it all and today I'm sharing the Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Wreath Die Set because you know it.. Dies are my FAVORITE!!!

This set is really versatile and includes different leaf shapes and sizes that you can use for lots of things. There's also two circle wreath "bases" that you can use as a guide. I used them both on my card.. one is made of scallops and the other is a solid circle frame. I think they'll be handy all year for focal points on projects.

But today the circle is my guide for decorating the wreath. It's a great base that adds color and depth to the wreath. Yes. the big bow is included in the set and the little berries and fronds too.

My finishing touch was some sparkly jewels, because you just have to have them! LOL! Enjoy your day and get something done!

Waffle Flower December Release and Giveaway!

I hope you've been enjoying the past three days of sneak peeks I've been sharing of the Waffle Flower Crafts December release. This month's release is called #BetterTogetherWFC because it's all about love and friendship. You'll love the beautiful swans and cute frogs as we go for a visit to the pond.

I think these Inquisitive Frogs are ADORABLE! I love that you can dress them up with a crown, and add a long tongue to each so they can help themselves to a meal of buzzy flies!

The background is a simple Distress Oxide blend that I splattered with water, white ink and a darker shade of blue Distress Oxide Ink. The splatter really does forgive any harsh lines you might have gotten accidentally and adds depth to the design.

I added a simple sentiment in the top corner; it's from the Better Together stamp set. The coordinating die set makes cutting out the sentiment super easy.

If you look close you'll see I added enamel dots to the flies to give them a little dimension and bring them to life. The dots are from the Waffle Flower Before Dawn set.
