TupeloDesignsLLC - Blessed Autumn

Happy Friday my crafty friends! I hope you're able to spend some time outdoors this weekend. The seasons are changing fast and if you're not looking autumn will pass you by. I've noticed a big change in my area (Northwest Indiana).. birds are migrating and oh.. the fall leaves are gorgeous! 

Today I'm playing with the Neat & Tangled Maple Leaf die and Oak Leaf stamp set from Tupelo Designs LLC. 

The die is a two piece set, an outline and a solid image. I put packing tape on the back of a piece of card stock and then cut the outline die. The packing tape prevents the die from cutting all the way through leaving an outline on your card stock. I colored the image with Copic Markers, and then cut the colored leaf with the solid maple die.

The background is pretty distress ink. I get a smooth clean look using the Clarity Stencil Brushes. They blend beautifully and there's no hard lines from daubers.

Gingerbread houses are a holiday tradition at my house. I started buying the pre fabricated houses when my kids were little. Everyone would get a house and we'd spend one day of Christmas vacation sitting around the table decorating them and nibbling all the extra candy toppers I'd buy. 

The Reverse Confetti Sweet Holiday set conjures up good memories for me. I'll be sending this card to my daughter to remind her of "the good old days" when she lived at home. 

I love using the Swirlies die as a sun/moon. The scribble look adds a little whimsey to my design. I added a gem swirl of smoke coming from the chimney. 

The Scallop Stripe Panel fits PERFECTLY inside the Greetings frame die.

Pretty Little Studio Savannah Dreams

Thanks for stopping by! Today I have a simple card made with the Pretty Little Studio Savannah Dreams Collection. I love the rainbow of colors, little birds and beautiful florals. 

There's something new with this collection.. the papers in the 8" pack are double sided! There's a strip along the edge of each sheet that shows you the pattern on the reverse side. I kept this strip in tact on my card, so it looks like I added a strip of black and white striped paper along the bottom edge.

I added a bit of black and white twine to repeat the stripes and colors of the papers. The twine is wrapped around the entire card front three times and finished with a bow. 

The die cut floral wreath and sentiment are from the Floral Fantasy pack. The wreath is adhered to a 4" Cambridge Doily because I think flowers and lace are a perfect match.
